If you can get the footage, in the off-season you should consider doing full-game breakdowns of historic college football games. Think OSU-Miami 2002, USC-Texas 2005, etc. A lot of fans would appreciate the Xs and Os breakdown of historic games.

Obviously OSU might play different defense against ND, but their zone honestly looks favorable for how ND likes to play. They will use greathouse and faison to sit in pockets and make 5-15 yard gains consistently. Their offense is impossible to stop so idk how ND is going to do that since I feel that they need to play man to stop the run but then OSU will have so many explosives.

So...ND small chunk plays...screens bubbles tosses...sustained long drives to own ToP. Defense some zone to keep the lid on fast defense to get after Howard and the run? Force the same type of game play for OSU long drives and hope they get penalties or you get to Howard...win special teams and at least neutral in middle 8. ND plan to win....OSU..DO NOT PLAY THAT KIND OF GAME...scheme for #4 #2#17 and get those RBs free on counter or tosses and whatnot...defense play man if you have to get ransom and downs hunting on the run plays and annihilate Leonard...GoBucks!!!

@morganmoves1318 13 күн бұрын
Ha! Brooks didn't even call out that blatant, lazy af holding Fryar committed on that first TD. Just grabs the DL's jersey and pulls him out of the hole 🤣. Right in front of the umpire, too! And then you can see him go to talk shit to the guy once he sees it was a TD, like he actually did something... more like a player who knows he's not as good as he acts. His team is so good he'll likely make it out of this season without a reality check though. Always next year.

@@easyenetwork2023 Fair enough. He does start for osu.. And every lineman gets hands sometimes. But what he did on that first TD is a misdemeanor in some states🫣. Getting away with such a bush league effort of a “block” on a TD in the CFP semifinal, right in the hole and right in front of the ref... I had to say something lol. What can I say, I'm a DL guy through and through🤷🏻? I finally get what our DC used to say, "it's an Offense-minded world, the Defense is just living in it" lol

I'd guess Texas played a light box so often because they knew they had the weight on the D-line to clog things up and were obviously intent on stopping the big play through the air with extra bodies in zone. I don't think ND's lighter D line can win in the trenches against OSU the same way Texas did. Playing against lighter/faster D-lines in the first two rounds, the OSU O-line did much better than against the power of Texas

Texas is not good. They literally played no one. They got beat twice by a weak UGA offense (I’m a dawgs fan, our offense sucked all year). they almost/should have lost to ASU bc ASU BULLIED THEIR DEFENSE. the best game they played was against OSU and it should’ve been worse. OSU shot themselves multiple times to keep that game close. TEXAS defense may be good on paper but they’re not elite. Stop saying that ridiculous shit
