So brooks you pointed out how UGA was baiting Nico to run and had a defender ready to lay the boom on him rather than having Chaz surf. Do you think this is something Kirby and Schumann have worked into the defense because of the effect Milroe has had on their defense (the qb run in general) or have we seen Georgia do this in the past?

Was at the game and Huepel offense is basic, predictable and figured out. Felt like it was 70% run on 1st, if Sampson got less than 3 then it felt like it was 80% chance of a pass to follow then wen they did pass every pass was bubble/flat route with some typa route comin in on the middle with a slant, or dig with the hopes a LB will go for the out routes leavin the middle open. Which it did kill us those 1st few possessions cause our LBs were biting on the bubble/flat routes early but Schu issa excellent adjuster

That’s one thing I hate about these really wide splits. if you aren’t able to beat the defense over the top it’s really hard to move the ball. The run game is gonna be in between the tackles 99.9% of the time and you will never beat ga doing that. Especially when they aren’t dedicating a lot of bodies into the box. Go back and watch ga vs Auburn last year. Auburn had the best rushing performance on ga in the last 2 maybe 3 years. I’m surprised they didn’t have any condensed formations installed to attack this defense in other ways

@XayvierEnsley I just gave you the stats. How did we shut down their run game when their backs had over 5 ypc? Their QB contributed to their overall avg but we gave up over 5ypc to their backs. Those are factß

@@XayvierEnsley the backs had 25 carries for 131 yards. That's 5.2 per. Enlighten me.
@XayvierEnsleyАй бұрын
@@bryanlemons because they could not get anything going based off of running the ball like they have all year. Stats and real ball are 2 different things.
@bryanlemonsАй бұрын
@XayvierEnsley I might agree on some of that but what's more dominant. Running the ball when you know their going to and still get 5 per or catch them with a 75 yard reverse that skews stats? UGA passed all over them, at will but could not run the ball well. Effective? Maybe. But not well. There was no shot of busting a long one. The TD one#6 had for TN would have gone forever.

Penalties killed Tennessee. Had beck 3-10 and that one jump offsides gave him a chance to throw the ball down field and get confidence. Then you can't expect to stop people when you have big third down penalties on both sides of the ball. It is not the quantity of the self-inflicted penalties, it's the quality of them. UGA played well but we helped them get started and when they got going it was done. Yes, there was questionable calls. I don't think the facemask call was a facemask. Thats not an excuse though. That was one play on their side of the 50. Blown call none the less. If you going to call facemask every time a part of a player touches the facemask then that's an every down call. It was a bad call but it didn't decide the game.
@davidknowles1886Ай бұрын
There are Videos of the guy literally almost pulling the helmet off from the bottom.That's why it fell off when they finished tackling him. It was a very obvious call
@1ll1c1t_oneАй бұрын
@@davidknowles1886 Can you link to the video? I have watched it obviously and what I seen was the guys forearm on the facemask and his facemask wasn't pulled but PUSHED DOWN by the guys forearm which made his helmet come off. Obviously you are going to see it in a light that is beneficial to UGA. I see it the opposite. We are not paid to make the call. The ref made the call, and I believe this is what happened, because his helmet came off. Same as stopping a game to review if a guys foot was on the field after a substitution resulting in a 12 men on the field call. It was unnecessary and did not impact the game. Ref's are out of control and if you like that you got the calls this game but don't start crying when you are in a tight game and they all go against you simply because of bad judgment by a part time Reality Agent wearing stripes.
@1ll1c1t_oneАй бұрын
@@davidknowles1886 Oh, and lets not talk about the guy catching the ball, taking TWO complete steps, then getting hit and dropping th eball. The officating was shit. Notice I say in my original 2 posts that Tennessee is to blame for getting Carson Beck comfortable. The offsides were big and allow him to throw the ball down field. So in the end its the Vols fault but just officiate the game right and stop the bullshit calls that are 100% guesses that are being made on the field. They don't have the replay on the field yet make these dumbass calls which seem to all fall in one direction.
@davidknowles1886Ай бұрын
@@1ll1c1t_one well, if you watch the tape that we are commenting on you also see some of the absolute ridiculous holds that tennessee's line got away with that were never called. And the receiver can take steps and still not have complete control of the ball.His back was turned and he was still pulling it in.And as soon as he tucked it and turned to run that's when the tennessee player took it out with his helmet.
