Had a light/laser combo that I threw on the rail, zeroed it at 15 yards and I'll tell you what, it's one of the most fun guns that I own. Almost no recoil from 45 cowboy loads and astonishingly accurate. It's like a laser guided hole puncher! Super fun, for $200 bucks, dont overthink it. It will absolutely put a smile on your face at the range.

Very economical firearm. For those of us who live in the country this would be easiy to store on your lawnmower, tractor, or on your person. It’s light, skinnier than a S&W Governor or Taurus Judge and ya don’t have to worry about scuffing it up, it’s a tool! #4 birdshot for snakes and buckshot or .45 Colt for 4-legged predators. We immediately view each handgun for self defense, not considering there are other applications. This might be perfect for a farmer to protect the roost from raiders, fox, or other vermin. Maybe a rancher to dispatch large animals. Or a hiker/camper who may want a small portable versatile capability to adapt to either birds or four legged critters for a camp meal. Seems to me a good value in those instances.

@@TheFirearmGuyIt seems like it was designed to be a portable survival weapon. Between .45LC and .410, it accepts any payload, much like the Taurus Judge / S&W Public Defender series revolvers. Or it can use special issue ammo like non-lethals, pepperballs, loud blanks, or flares. The difference between the revolvers and this is capacity and simplicity. Much quicker and easier to disassemble this weapon for cleaning / servicing / parts replacement than the revolvers.
@raptorman65894 күн бұрын

I agree Dan, I don't see it as the best option for self defense. I'm not ever a really big fan of single shot guns/rifles in any case so theres that. I'd rather get a Taurus Judge, it's more compact and you get more shots. BUT I could see this as maybe a decent 45 colt hunting pistol for deer depending if you're getting any accuracy out of it.

The Rossi Brawler is absolutely a winner, especially at this price point-an excellent choice for those seeking a solid single-shot option. Speaking of single-shot handguns, I can't help but mention the outstanding Freedom Arms Model 2008 series. The 15" variant is a marvel, available in 17 different caliber chamberings, ranging from .338 Federal to .357 Magnum. The 10" variant offers versatility too, with 7 chamberings, from .460 S&W Magnum to .357 Magnum. In my opinion, the Model 2008 series is arguably the best single-shot handgun available today. Isn't this type of pistol what Thompson Center used to produce? It would be nice if you could switch barrels to shoot various ammo, including rifle rounds. Perhaps hunters who like to take game at shorter distances or thick forested areas would like this? Easier to carry without giving up powder and/or accuracy? Also pretty good for testing handloads without risking an expensive firearm.

Thompson Center made a custom pair of pistols from their 45-70 rifle for John Wick 4. This is the cheap hillbilly version.

Bang for the buck it looks fun, however I’d stick to my T/C Contender. Mine currently has the 45LC/410 10” barrel with screw in choke (use with 410 only, remove the choke for 45LC) mounted on it, I can also swap out the barrel for all kinds of different length and caliber configurations. Shoot, with barrels 16” or longer I can also put a buttstock on it and have a carbine. Barrels for the T/C come chambered in .17HMR to.35Remington as well as a lot of wildcat chamberings. The biggest draw back is it’s not a cheap gun to set up. A complete used gun runs $600(+), used barrels go for $200(+), and furniture prices vary depending on condition, maker, and so on.

I think a fun gun for the price. I could see it as a good farm gun, boat gun, etc. With the 9” barrel you’re going to get better performance out of whatever round you choose to use in it, in addition to not losing power from the cylinder gap in a revolver. This would especially be true for the Federal 000 buck like you mentioned as well as the .45 Colt. I’m curious how the barrel would be with bird shot? assuming it’s rifled I’d like to see how the longer barrel patterns with birdshot vs a Judge or similar. Nice video sir!
@WHEELGUNNER13 күн бұрын
It does lose power compared to a revolver_ that 2 inches of chamber that the bullet has to traverse before contacting the forcing cone lets a lot of gas around the bullet

IMO if you have the guns you really need then buy all the fun guns you want. There are only a couple guns I bought that I regretted buying. However, there are several I regret selling.
