Hello Tyler. God says in the Bible not to swear to thy self. I hear you say it a lot. Just planting a seed. I pray God blesses you and Owen abundantly. Please tell him I said hello and looking forward to seeing your next video. I respect you so much because you are one that doesn't cuss on your videos. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for that. That tells a lot! 😊 I love watching you guys out there just being yourselves. Your videos are my one of my first to watch. I thank you for cleaning the water ways. I pray God keeps you safe out and about and God bless. See you on the next one😁🥰🙏

I think the chain with steel bars across the ends goes with the sharpened horse shoes. Together linking the logs .

Those chains with the metal pieces are boom chains. They are used with what they called boom sticks which are logs that go around the perimeter of a log raft. Boom sticks have a hole drilled on either end just big enough for those metal rectangles to fit through sideways but they are long enough so they stay put to hold the boom sticks together to secure the logs together as they are towed to the mill. Hopefully that explanation makes sense.

After watching your videos, my daughter and I caught the magnet fishing bug. We went to a local boat dock and found a few things but kept hitting something VERY HEAVY and VERY BIG that wouldn't move! Two days later the local authorities pulled out a truck from there that has been missing since 2017-- with a body inside. Thanks for getting us hooked on a super cool hobby!!!

About washing machine rollers: The first rollers were made of wood, but manufacturers switched to rubber because the wooden ones would break buttons, zippers, etc. With wooden rollers some women would actually remove buttons before washing and sew them back on later. So rubber rollers made laundry day a bit easier. As the rubber rollers began to deteriorate, the surface could develop a chalky feel and appearance. I remember wiping the chalky residue off the roller before feeding clothing through. We used a wringer washer until I was in well into my teens. Doing laundry for a large family was an all-day exhausting chore. I love modern washers and dryers!

Unbelievable the stuff you pull out of the river blows my mind. They just toss it out. Out on the old farmstead’s junk just got tossed in the ravine. Every farm had a dumping area. I guess it makes sense that rivers would be full of junk. Great video Tyler ❤

The roller is from an old wringer washer...you would feed the wet clothes in between two rollers, to squeeze out the excess water The earlier ones were hand cranked, but they also were upgraded to electric ones !! I used to help my grandma with the laundry.

The reason you never find the rest of the washer is because the tubs were all copper, and worth more than what they purchased for when new.

Hi Tyler😊❤Holy chains Batman!😂Always love the history lessons you give us from time to time. Appreciate them. My one aunt actually got a part of her anatomy rolled in an old wringer washer. All those stories that could be written with some of those things you bring up. Just pick an item and let your imagination run wild. Story after story. Wow! Thank you Tyler for another amazing video. I hope you have a great rest of your weekend. My Saturday night ended on a good note. Hats off to you sir. Stay safe my friend 😊❤Paula from Michigan

My mum, had 2 different types of wash rollers. One was a light frame of wood and the rest was glass, for rubbing the clothes on, the other was just a roller arm that attached to the top of the washing machine. So unless you got a whole washing machine with the roller still attached you won't find much more metal. ❤

Had an amazing magnet fishing adventure last night at my Ontario cottage! I pulled a pump-action shotgun from the middle of the lake and contacted the authorities. They traced the serial number and took it away. Managed to capture plenty of great videos and photos beforehand. Truly an exciting experience all around and likely lost in a hunting accident but better safe than sorry!
