It turned out to be our last morning fishing. Gorden Meadow Fall Atlantic Salmon fishing on the Nepisiguit River, New Brunswick.
The Nepisiguit River starts at Mount Carleton Provincial Park and runs approx. 80 miles to Bathurst, New Brunswick is located in the northeastern part of our Canadian Province on the East Coast.
It's not always about catching fish but more about being out in this environment, more so with good friends.
This fall the water levels, angling in general at the end of the season was the opposite of last year.
This year, tons of rain, high water meant the fresh fish likely scoot right up the river to their spawning grounds.
Last year, the levels were some of the lowest in history, which meant many fish were spread out throughout the entire system. Many, stay in the bay waiting for the big rains, many try their luck moving up which means fish are visibly moving in the pools.
Either scenario, it is always awesome.
This will be the last trip of the year in our area.
Hope you enjoy it.
