Thanks John, that’s a very useful road and yes we have watched you use it on many videos. I just bought a new rod just be able do a little sea fishing when things improve. At the moment I’m in so much pain with my back and there is nothing the doctors can do for me. I just cannot do anything. I would love catch even a couple of mackerel for my tea, that would be great. Don’t think I’m up to fighting a conger or ling!! Take care mate, love your videos, always informative. Graham🎣🎣🛥🎣🎣

I was charter boat fishing off Lundy last year and had some strange looks from the fellow anglers with their traditional 30lb class gear, when they saw my Kanji lure rod with Isei professional 3500 reel. One remarked about how long it’d last before it broke, but had a change of heart when he saw the punishment it was taking and I know who was having the most fun too. I’ve come to trust Nomura tackle for pretty much all my sea fishing needs except beach casting. Excellent review, love all your videos and best of luck with your new boat.😁

Looks like it would be a great rod for tope fishing provided the current is not too strong to hold bottom. I use an 80 gram baitcaster with a small low profile multiplier from the boat lately and it is excellent fun. Had small tope and good hounds, not to mention big pollock and wrasse etc. Braid has allowed use to use far lighter tackle and I think that is brilliant.

If this matches - or even betters my current yak rod...? Might just invest in one, as I can't decide what to go for, for a second rod ATM... People will say X about one, then Y about another. But you here, have shown what it can do, along with the backup footage / pics too. So, a year long 'test', is a proper review in my eyes. Thanks John. 👍

I refuse to be one of those folks who fire out glowing reviews straight out of the box. You cannot possibly test something properly by looking at it. I however test things often to destruction. 🤣

Can you discuss how you rigged the lure in this video. It appears you have two single hooks at the top of the lure where your line also connects. Thats opposite what everyone else does. I think I can see why but can you explain that rig please.

John sort to disturb you mate, just watched great TA fishing and think he’s been watching your vids. His newest vid he’s using a numora ISEI rod 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Just I remember you saying that you asked to do a joint vid and he wasn’t intrested. 👍🏻😂😂. Keep up good work mate

@Kevin Mack TA Fishing have been using Nomura stuff for years, he did a video down at Kiddy Wholesale who import Nomura stuff. Kiddy also send stuff to TA Fishing, so I don’t know what point you’re trying to make!!

Have you tried it with a multiplier reel? And would it compare more with a 20/30 weight rod or a 30/40 boat rod?

Hi John. Great review which has helped me narrow down my choices for slow jigging over wrecks. Do you think the 150g version is overkill for the UK?
@thefishlockerworkshop3 жыл бұрын
I honestly couldn’t say. Depends what you’ve using it for. 200g slow jigs in 300ft of water then possibly no. But 90g slow jigs in 80ft yes.

Hi mate. Curious question with no malice, why do you wear a bandana round your neck all the time? Navy thing?
@thefishlockerworkshop3 жыл бұрын
I wear a buff a lot because I have a long neck and keep the wind/sun off it. Plus now it doubles as a face covering.

I’m looking to replace my Shakespeare elite boat rods 20/30lb class with the ability to handle up tiding with 8-10oz weight and be soft enough in the tip for bite indication, this rod looks like it would work on the Bristol Channel, be interested in what you think
@TheFishLocker3 жыл бұрын
No. It won’t have the added length you want for uptiding.
@Dreancaidi10 ай бұрын
Is there any such rod that would do as @elizabethgrant4907 asked. I know it is asking alot but I can imagine a foot longer in this kind of rod could save clutter on a boat for those of us that like simplicity.
@mackenziedyche-brookes45483 жыл бұрын
Could you still use this rod for spinning lures ?
@spicymaple70693 жыл бұрын
John can this be used in fresh water lakes with big musky or is it designed for Sea fishing or coastal.
@thefishlockerworkshop3 жыл бұрын
It would depend on what you’re fishing from. It will handle the fish but I suspect you want a little more length to manoeuvre the fish around the boat.
