HUGE THANKS to ExpressVPN for offering all Food Ranger viewers 3 months free and 49% off their yearly package using this link: ExpressVPN.com/Thefoodranger . Travelers need ExpressVPN to stay safe online and to unblock any site. I personally use it for Netflix, even while at home in Canada, but also while traveling to unblock content and episodes that are geoblocked, and I also use it for security, because airport wifi and hotel wifi is often very insecure, leaving my data vulnerable. By connecting to one of their servers around the world, it’s just like my computer or phone is in that location, and all data sent while connected to their VPN is secure, safe, and private from others to see, so I know that my data won’t be hacked or looked at by others. Thanks so much for watching, and we have tons more videos coming up for you! Please leave me a comment below letting me know what you thought about this episode, thanks so much!!!

India is a foodies paradise, You travel from one state to other the food, language and clothing changes. Unity in Diversity is our strength, people are so friendly and we believe in this saying 'Atithi Devo Bhava' translates to 'The guest is equivalent to God'. Hope you had a good time in India. Hi Trevor if your still in Chennai would recommend you to visit these foodie places: - Nayar mess - this is near chepauk stadium. Has great South Indian food. Should try the brain fry(served during lunch time go early else it gets over quickly) - Bismi Biryani : chennai is famous for their Biryanis there are loads of biryani places around the city. I would recommend Bismi Biryani near Thiruvanmiyur bus stand. Try their mutton biryani & chicken 65 - Iyengar Bakery: there are loads of them around the city any of them are good to try. Must try items: veg/egg puffs, fresh baked bread, honey cake, any of their stuffed buns. - fish fry : head down to Marina beach or besant nagar beach. My recommendation is head down to besant nagar beach walk towards the sea you will see rows of carts selling fish fry & other seafood. All of them are good but my personal favorite is Santhosh Fish fry cart! Get the squid fry & vanjaram meen (king fish) fry I still have loads more on the list :)

Just wanted to clear that everyone does not eat with their hands we do use spoons, forks and chopsticks. It actually just depends on what you prefer... and even though some people do eat with hands I do not understand whats so unhygienic about it? If you wash your hand before eating I see no problem... people find it gross when they see others eating with hands but it actually depends on how clean you keep yourself... P.s even though there are places that needs to be developed here there are also many other amazing places that are very clean and advanced so please do not generalise the whole of India like that

Alright some condescending white folks just can't stop bragging about how hygiene wise gift their lives ares and everyone in India is filthy. It's funny how money and comfort doesn't help bring maturity and the sense of being humble. If in India the street vendors has money and resources they would be more hygienic but unfortunately for them they don't. The last guy in the video selling peanuts would have entire life worth of income compared to our annual salary but still smiles and tries to be happy. Let's please go easy with the " I would never go there to eat, so filthy" because none of them were inviting you and they weren't the one who uploaded the video promoting there food. Also +The Food Ranger please disable to comments because reading them is more cringy than the filth on the streets.
@taifhamid18 жыл бұрын
bratinsane Trevor eats a lot of street foods in lots of Countries so he is used to it but a tourist (specially from a western country) will 100% get sick within couple days if they tried some of the street food that he tried, I do believe that the people clean but things like rings have lots of germs, and the gas, dirt from the street, cars and all the stuff from the air will surely get tourists sick, I know the people are super friendly and amazing and only have the best interest of their costumers in mind but a little warning wouldn't hurt anybody.

how do you protect yourself from food poisoning? do you take prophylactic antiobiotics?

The food preparation hygiene is seriously lacking..... That said, it's good that this guy shows what actually goes on in real life rather than an edited / sanitized / heavily produced version.

guys don't eat the street food if you want Hygiene .......go to some better restaurants ...they are every where....they will cost much more off course and you will be happy with Hygiene and all....... actually most people don't use fork and knife to eat food here in India we use our bare hand (that's in our culture) and those vendors are not professionally trained so they don't even know that people expect them to wear gloves......and because most of those vendors don't use gloves they have habit of keeping their hands clean.........if their hands bother you ..don't eat their........
