Realistically, do they need to sell one now to get one in? I don't imagine Liverpool struggling with their finances. Hamil makes a good point; is not a like for like if they sign Werner; you can better justify selection due to opponent if you don't have a like for like bench player. So why not sign Werner and keep Firmino; it might be easier for fans to accept for Bobby to go the following year. They don't really have a top level replacement; Lallala, Chamberlain and Minamino are good, but none are really players you want to be a starter for an entire season. Like, for City, you are likely to be happy for Mahrez to play for an entire season if Sterling or Bernado is out for significant time, same for Jesus. Liverpool, I don't see anyone who is like that. In all likelihood is not so going to pay over the odds for current stars and pay for a star playing for not an elite clubs; none of the front 3 was from an elite club with amazing amount of hype. Imagine saying to somebody in 2 years time, I am going to win a CL with players from Southampton, Roma and Hoffenheim as my attackers, and follow that by winning the league with a months to spare? Essentially thats what they did, and thus I think if they a re going to rebuild now, they are not going to be signing a big name player that Bayern, Barca and Real are gonna go for. Dubai is great for the rich where the soullessness is papered over by decadence. Not prepared to spend 7 figures in a week there, they don't give a damn about you. A lot of Pato's opinion is rooted to stats; and the believe that every anomaly is going to revert to form, whether out performing or underperforming, which isn't necessarily a fair assumption as Xg is not like flipping a coin. But realistically, he has score double digit goals in the league 3 times in his entire top flight career, and max was 15. 2nd and 3rd was 11. Salah may score more and have more shots but Mane scores more important goals (The first Goal or winning goal or leveling goal) which lead to the play getting more open and giving salah more space to kill off games with the second and third goals. The thing is for Arsenal do they go and try to get Ceballos on a permanent? He’ll play a few months under Arteta’s system so if they get him back on a permanent he’ll be sued to the system and would probably make a quicker impact than a complete new signing

Liverpool definitely don't need to sell one of their front three if they want Werner..shaqiri+Wilson will be gone next summer..and then with Werner klopp can rotate around his squad a bit more than what he could now...salah had to play few games with injured ankle this season which can be avoided if there is someone like Werner in the squad..on the topic of firmino being replaceble..in current Liverpool system that might be difficult to achieve..I know his no. are easily replaceble but his overall game goes beyond just his goal contribution..his off the ball movements and his defensive no. with his contribution in attack is not easy to replace if Liverpool want to persist with the current system and it's pretty clear Pato doesn't watch enough Liverpool game to make comments on that

If Auba leaves we couldn't afford to lose Laca as well. If Auba doesn't want to sign, let him go, take the money and sign a left sided winger who can do everything and attacking mid. I'd take Benrahma from Brentford and Grealish or Buendia from Norwich. I think Martinelli is destined to be a top striker and if Auba leave next season, it must open the chance for him to play centrally more regularly, and we also have Nketiah who is still young and already quite competent.

What arsenal need in the summer: A CB: Defence has always been a weakness for arsenal. someone like Dayot Upamecano would be great. He is strong good in the air but will cost £40 Million. An AM: Mesut Ozil is very inconsistent and is aging so an AM is vital. Martin Odegard would be a great signing £35M-£45M A ST: Aubameyang has 16 months left on his contract so we might as well cash in on him this summer. Timo Werner would be a perfect replacement but it’s very unlikely we will sign him with Liverpool Bayern and Real Madrid also very interested. A likely replacement might be Moussa Dembele from Lyon. He will cost £35M-£50M

Werner is a very good but odd signing, if you buy him as a striker he'd not really fit in that well because he's like an inside forward not a 9. Should Liverpool risk a whole system change? Or just go for a slightly like for like buy like getting a Neres from Ajax (or any cheap alternatives) play him like Oxlaide - just for the next season because that front three isn't declining yet. 2 more seasons at least
