Nothing. As soon as the eSIM gets activated, the physical SIM can be discarded as it will no longer be useable.

Medyo erratic itong si GlobeOne App. Just this past week, ilang araw na missing ang option to change, tapos bigla lang susulpot ulit. So I suggest, check it every couple of days and make sure you update the app whenever there's new update.

Thank you for your question, I guess if you are currently on a roaming plan with your physical globe SIM, that should be possible, but again not 100% foolproof. So I'd suggest just do the switchover to eSIM when you're in the Philippines ( for peace of mind that you can go to a Globe store if there's any issue)

As long as naconvert mo na at naactivate, it will work. Ang problema lang, kung kelangan mo ilipat sa ibang device na non iOS, kelangan mo yung QR. If wala sa junk folder, best to contact customer service.

Thank you for this video. I can see in your tutorial that it keeps the physical sim number or the existing number in ESIM version. Is this always the case? I was told that the globe one app process, doesn’t keep the existing number but issue new number when converted. Second qq, what happens if we reboot, shut off and on, reset the device? Does esim stay in the device or we need to redo the config process. Last qq, in terms of security. Will it not make the number or the device itself, vulnerable to fraudsters/hackers? For instance that user accidentally connects to public wifi? Do you, yourself personally use esims in bank apps and prefers more compare to the physical sim. Would appreciate if you could share your experience specific to privacy and security. Ps😂 is it required to keep the globe1 app in our device after activation. Maraming salamat po in advance🙏

Thank you for dropping by and asking these great questions. There are two options you have when purchasing an eSIM, you can buy a new one with a new number, and the second option is convert your physical SIM to an eSIM, which is the case in this video. So if you choose the latter, then you should be able to keep the same number of your Physical SIM, otherwise, you will be issued a new number. I love your second question and that's one thing I can partially answer. First if you just reboot, the number stays, however, I can't answer the same if the device is reset. (probably a good video to make in the future) And finally, in terms of security, I think we can both agree that all these digital footprints that we have can fall into the hands of fraudsters and hackers, however, how we safeguard ourselves by taking precautionary actions can make a difference. Right now, I don't personally use eSIMS for my banking apps, but I'm looking into testing the waters. My next video is converting the physical SIM that I used for GCash into eSIM and fingers crossed, I hope all goes well. PS. GlobeOne app is not mandatory to have, so no need to keep GlobeOne app after activation.

No need to wait for 24 hours. Usually pag nakita mo na yung "duplicate" number you can start testing if you can make or receive calls. Then once you can receive or make calls, you can remove your physical SIM at that point.
