I got a refurb Dyson Air Purifier 2 or 3 years ago of their official eBay outlet shop, got a further discount from eBay on it and they were running a special for fans for the summer. It was a great price, and has held up incredibly well snd I use it a LOT. I haven’t needed to replace the filters yet. Plus it’s an auto model has all the same sensors as this newer model and connects to WiFi and can be controlled by Alexa etc.

@volcolby19 күн бұрын
Thanks for a helpful look at these. The air volume level seems really great on the new one. I really like the idea of quieter machines performing the purifying function and truly circulating a good amount of air at the same time. It seems that Dyson has taken a big step in this direction with the new model. On the other hand, I just cannot justify the price. It seems that Dyson must recognize that a market exists above the price range that the average consumer is willing to pay for an air purifier.

One thing I rarely see discussed is the awesomeness of Breeze Mode. This is my favourite thing about this air purifier: how it quietly creates a beautiful sense of natural breeze. I really do not like the droning, predictability of a fan. I'm not sure if this is a common feature of air purifiers, but I have never experienced such an amazing ability to mimic a natural breeze.

After 8 months of use, what is the filter life remaining? Do you believe you will get the full 5 years as Dyson has stated?
@whitenoisejack4 ай бұрын
Man, I wish the engineers at IQ Air would team up with Dyson. Then you'd have a particle filter down to .003 microns with actual good looking design. The HealthPro Plus is an amazing purifier, but looks like an outdoor AC unit from the 1980s. Dyson also needs 3-5 different colorways. Can we get a collab?

I’m trying to figure out if I should get the BP04 or the TP09. I see the BP04 circulates the air it purifies. Does it blow cool air or is that specifically for the TP09 or anything similar to it? Or do both models circulate air well?
@TheFrenchGlow8 ай бұрын
Hi even though the bp04 is much pricier than the tp09 tp10, it is the superior air purifier. Neither will blow cool air as they are just big fans with filters. Dyson really needs to take cool off the marketing materials as it doesn't cool and more air circulates. I have a review of the tp09 here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5eQfHd6hpmCbqc

hard to believe that no other air purifier copied Dyson philo on air purifiers which you can direct the clean air. at this price, Dyson could have made it even larger for quieter operation in normal days, and high performance during high demand like many people or cooking

Woww... So we have used Austin air purifiers w hepa filter. Have you heard of these? I'd be curious to hear your thoughts. One of the earliest brands on the market I think. The filter is supposed to last 5 years, which it initially did.. since the machines are almost 20 years old now, the filter seems to need replacing more often. I would say the machines are kind of medium size, not exactly unobtrusive but not humungous either. I think the motors getting older, it's definitely getting more noisy, but for a long time also doubles as white noise machines haha. Considering whether to replace soon with maybe a Coway, but never tried any other brand but this.

I recommend the coway or the winix. Remember removing vocs has a lot to do with the filter.

Have a BP04 and it is a fantastic machine! I highly recommend it and it’s very quiet. As for filter pricing and the complaint of them being high. If you are buying this machine, you don’t care about filter pricing. If you care about that, Dyson is not for you. Also, for all the machine does and tech behind it. There is nothing on the consumer market that offers this.

We cook 2 to 3 times a day with open floor plan for kitchen and living room which also has a patio door which is opened 20 to 30 times a day with 2 dogs and a cat. House 2000 sq foot total and area I am talking about is 17 foot x36 foot (612sq foot) So much dust in home. All new windows, new doors, new paint, new Sheetrock, new insulation, everything properly sealed, new HVAC unit, no carpet, all hard food floors, etc etc. Any idea what works???

This seems more like it was made to compete with the other large room purifiers like the IQ Air machine that cost $2000-$3000 and have filters that cost a lot more and don't last as long. In that case it is a good value for what it's point is. But your videos are almost always negative to Dyson products so oh well.
@TheFrenchGlow8 ай бұрын
Hi! I said it's great repeatedly but just because the iq air is $2000 doesn't mean the Dyson is good value. It probably means the iq air is more overpriced. .
