How many of you own a smart ring or are considering one? If so which one?
@blackph0enix3 ай бұрын
Considering an Oura ring just for the fact that they have a large lead with their research and additional metrics. Helps to be early to the game.

@@blackph0enix Yeah they were first to market, huge advantage but also the competition is able to learn from their mistakes as well

I'm thinking of actually taking the ringconn 2 .... but I missed out on the kick starter .......... So now I'm looking between ultra human and Ringconn2. I'm really hoping it tracks sports Aswell. But I'm not holding my breath

I have the Galaxy ring. I'm considering getting the ringconn because I also use an iphone on occasion.

I just got the ringconn gen 2 with the kickstarter. I like it cause it looks like a fashion ring being a wormen.

Hi, Can you provide some insight on how the durability of future silver compares to matte black? Also, how scratch-resistant is matte black with daily use?
@FilmedbyFresh3 ай бұрын
I haven't noticed any deep scratches on the Futura silver yet where as my matte black gen 1 has deep scratches on the bottom of the ring. so far the silver is holding up nicely
@eesakhan7613 ай бұрын
If possible please do durability test of gen 1 vs gen 2. Thanks

Great video:)) How close is the ring and your CPAPs AHI score for sleep apnea? How accurate do you think the sleep apnea detection is in the ring?

I used their sizing kit and decided #12 was a little to tight so I went with #13.

Hi, I would like some clarification regarding the ring sizes and charger compatibility. I currently have a Gen 1 ring, size 10. However, my Gen 2 size 10 sizing ring does not fit in my Gen 1 size 10 charger. Could you confirm if Gen 1 size 10 and Gen 2 size 10 rings require different chargers, or should the same charger work for both? Since my Gen 2 sizing ring does not fit on the Gen 1 charger, I wanted to confirm this detail. I appreciate your clarification on this matter.
@FilmedbyFresh3 ай бұрын
yeah my size 14 gen. 2 ring doesn't work with the gen 1 charger case. the shape of the ring is slightly different

5:06 I agree unless you do incorporate a decent amount of weightlifting in your fitness routine. Then, a smart watch is a much better choice.

@FilmedbyFresh did you manage to see if it was able to track you playing sports (if you do ). Any one who does anything else than running or biking ..... does it mean we are stick with only smartwatches ?

@@dimiyou17 yeah it’ll of course track your vitals while playing sports but they only have those 3 activities right now.
@teknod163 ай бұрын
The measurements on those rings are really not that accurate as on a smartwatch. There are enough in depth tests online where you can see that wearing a watch on your wrist is more accurate then on your finger.
@FilmedbyFresh3 ай бұрын
Yeah there is still room for improvement
@tacticalpencil2 ай бұрын
Where are these tests? I have a extremely dark skinny hairy wrist. I doubt a watch would be more accurate. I had a garmin fenix 6 and a coros pace 2 watch. Both highly inaccurate
@Indydi22 күн бұрын
My Garmin Venu 2 is a joke for sleep analysis. I can be reading or catching up on the news, and it says light sleep every time. Most say watches are better for activity tracking tho. But I have to literally enter every weight set manually. That's over 30 entries for each session. I'm better off just writing it into a file on my phone.

This could never replace my apple watch ultra 2 lol , i need a watch to see a time on without need to see my iphone , i need cellular version on the go without press any button on my iphone

I agree a watch is leagues better in certain use cases but I’ve supplemented some of my watch time with a smart ring. It’s nice to not have a screen in my face sometimes or my wrist buzzing and dinging throughout each day.
@danr84723 ай бұрын
You are the perfect example of gullible people compagnies such as apple prey on. They come up with useless products each year where they just bump version and people pay for that crap. If you want a watch, buy a Rolex.
@jcap83912 ай бұрын
@@FilmedbyFreshIf ultra human comes out with gen 2 I'm on it but the accuracy is off on these older rings. I'll stick with oura gen 4.
@jcap83912 ай бұрын
@@FilmedbyFreshAnother thing is if people want to wear these rings long term it has to be for a certain reason. Each of these rings are better than others in certain areas. I'm an extremely unhealthy individual but for the average normal healthy person I really don't see any use case for these rings. From my experience they all blow at fitness tracking. Even watches are pretty bad. I'd say stick to chest straps or arm straps for fitness tracking
@DashDonivan3 ай бұрын
I already started transitioning away from using my apple watch on the daily. The health features are only as good as what you need and use them for. Having a ring that isn't a distraction and gathers similar data does make sense. However, I can't see me paying anything over a 100.00 for something like that. I've gone back to traditional watches for the most part and can't see myself going back to an apple watch or smart device for quite a long time. They are just far to much of a distraction. Not to mention as a former developer of apple watch apps the device is far too limited to be useful. Zero customization for the end user. Everything is really locked down, from the faces, to even how many complications one would like to use. They're just no fun to wear.
@FilmedbyFresh3 ай бұрын
yeah as time goes on I try to find more ways to reduce screen time and hop back in when I need to. Having this little ring helps me have one foot in and one foot out

Lmfao like I’m gonna trade a full fledged smartwatch who’s main health purpose is advanced workout computing which includes tracking but also displaying workout data in for a ring (referring to the title and thumbnail)
@FilmedbyFresh3 ай бұрын
lol naw definitely not right now, but this product category is only a few years old really. Who’s to say what the future holds, what if all that data could be projected from the ring onto your palm one day? 🤔

@@FilmedbyFresh I’ve always been a watch guy I would love to go back to wearing real watches on the daily and having my tech be more minimal But unless Apple makes it I doubt I’d buy it Even the non Apple smartwatches from Google and Samsung have terrible input delay and are just behind the Apple Watch by at least a few generations And my personal attempt at wearing the Galaxy Watch ultra just proved this further In the category of most useful wearable honestly I don’t think anything tops the Apple Watch Ultra for now at least
@FilmedbyFresh3 ай бұрын
Yeah if Apple made a ring I’m sure the ultra demographic would adopt it. I tried the Galaxy watch ultra as well and like you said the input lag is noticeable versus the apple watch. The Apple watch is the current king of wearables, I am looking forward to seeing how things progress.
@jimbob24052 ай бұрын
Thats fine if you're happy to wear a watch with absolutely zero character. I think the smart ring is perfect for offering you the only real metrics you need to know, but then allows you to wear a real watch in day to day life. Then if you do actually want to do a proper workout activity you can just shove a cheap garmin forerunner on which will absolutely trounce any smart watch for accuracy and battery life.
