As a nurse and a chronically ill person, I know exactly how you feel. It’s hard to see past all the side effects. Mary and Peter take care of yourselves, thank you for allowing us in but take time for yourself. Don’t worry about doing these videos. You have so many people who really care about you. Same here, as a nurse n chronically ill we focus on others that are sick n don't realize how sick we are n feel bad when we don't show up thinking who is gonna take care of our ppl, like we do cause we get it. Then on time off we realize how bad we are n don't wanna be home. Really message me on Twitter Heatherpricket2. Here for you babe. I'm also 18 weeks pregnant n was never suppose to get pregnant. After being on meds for 7 yrs n not being able to take any of it omg.....miserable! Beyond! Doesn't help that my high risk obgyn is 3 hrs away! Watching Mary makes me feel almost like I complain to much considering what she has to go through. Definitely feel for her n she needs a break for sure on everything!

Hey Peter. If you turn the fluid upside down when you spike the bag so the air bubble is at the top where the spike is, then squeeze the air out into the tubing before you prime it, you wont have any air bubbles and when the fluid is done the line will still be full of fluid.. so you'll be able to reuse it for the next thing. Tubing is good for 24 hrs :) if its intermittent #NurseHack

Has Mary ever tried a cough assist? My son lacks the muscle strength for a full cough to bring stuff up and especially when he gets a cold we have to use it. I just wondered if it would help Mary to not get so exhausted or get headaches from coughing so hard.

It Is different than the vest and it isn't just used for muscle strength, when you use it it essentially sucks the mucus out when you cough. I'm not a doctor it was simply a suggestion, and I am a recent subscriber who didn't know if she had tried it.

Praying for you Mary! I have had a rough two days as well. I had a big Graves’ disease high blood pressure and fast pulse flare yesterday and I have been fighting high blood sugar for two days straight and not feeling great. Just trying to be careful, watch what I eat, and drink a lot of water!

Mary you need a wheel chair for days where you just cannot breath and have to walk into the hospital for blood work etc...I have a chronic lung disease and I absolutely cannot breath sometimes, my electric wheel chair is a Godsend....loving Oliver

also you have. been in the hospital before, I know the worst thing is getting up to a hospital or doctors office when you feel badly. But, I am glad you are still outpatient. Fingers crossed, you can get through this at home. I know you can rest so much better at home than at the hospital (they wake you up!). You both are inspiring. Also my husband will love to see that small amount. I have a bad liver from all the medications over the years. I take a pill so so tiny, that if I drop it, it's almost impossible to find. And, it really helps. But he often wonders what can be in such a small pill, that can help my big not very happy liver... keep on dealing with the medications. Once again, prayers your way, and also again thank you to even those people that went to school to help develop tiny medications that have a huge impact. Even if that impact includes side effects.

Same. EDS trifecta sucks. I get super bad coughing fits like Mary a few times a day and I tell my husband that it's God reminding me to say prayers for Mary. Her tears break my heart. I hope these latest meds help kickstart your body into a path towards wellness. I must tell you, you 2 helped me be brave when I had to go for my first colonoscopy a few weeks ago. I was really fearful of the sedation part and had worked myself into a state of near panic, after procrastinating in getting this important test done for several years. I thought of you, Mary, in your daily struggles, and especially your most recent sinus surgery, and realized everyone feels nervous heading into a surgery or procedure and that's okay and it's normal. I just had to get this test done, no matter what. All went well, the sedation was fine, and I was *so happy* and glad I did it. 2 polyps removed, both benign, and I am thankful. So thank you, Mary & Peter! Your vlogs help make us all stronger and appreciative of doing what we think we can't do.
