Watching the movies with someone: When my friends and I saw Fellowship for the first time, after Boromir's death speech to Aragorn ("my brother, my captain, my king"), our friend who'd never read the books before said - quite loudly and sincerely in the theater - "Wait...they're brothers!?" - It made it pretty clear that after 3 hours, she wasn't really following some of the storylines. We never let her live it down.

This was so much fun! I love when a guest really gets their humour and goes along with things and enjoys them. It is super funny though Tiffany is so right they often just say stuff so deadpan and back each other up that you never fully know if they're serious or not 🤣🤣 it's a fun skill to try and navigate their banter. I remember thinking that when listening to the cast commentaries of LOTR that if you didn't know them, you might believe an awful lot of random shit they were just spewing with zero irony 🤣🤣

as a fifth grade teacher currently teaching volume, i'm wondering if "heighth" comes from saying the dimensions of a rectangular prism, length x width x height... like you're already in the habit of saying the TH diphthong on the end of length and width so you just add it to height as well. heck i've probably done it without thinking in the middle of a lesson with my students. i'm going to be more conscious of my speech next week during instruction and see if it happens.

potatoes are my favorite type of food and so versatile. I have a rec for you to try if you're up for it. I call it... the taco potato. baked potatoe microwave for 7 minutes mash it down. i like to add a tiny bit of butter and pepper but that's optional. then add taco stuff. meat add shredded cheese cook in microwave for about a minute or until cheese is melted, refried beans and sour cream or optional on which step you like to add things. it's delicious. I'd send a pic but youtube doesn't have that option so instead I'll tag on ig 😁

Conversely, jam is defined as a spread, so that's what you do: spread the jam, dollop the cream (which sounds like it could be a song from The Hobbit). At least you got it right in splitting your scone down the middle for double the treat.

Jam has less fruit pectin and more sugars. Preserves have more actual bits of fruit in it. Jelly has much fore pectin that gives it that harder consistency.

Tiffany needs to play Meghan Markle one more time, in a fictional action flick I wrote called "Taking the Crown".
