I’m a craft horder of different genres. And, I haven’t had time to craft anymore except trying watercolor and I suck at it. Lol I have been organizing my craft room that has been a ( no walkway) storage room since I moved here 21/2 years ago. A lot has happened in 3 years . Dad died, we moved, gutted out and renovated our kitchen. Had a complete knee replacement then started a new job. This last April 2024”my adult daughter passed. Since I’m hitting 65 I quit my job. It’s been Just too much to take in with health issues as well.😢 So my craft room is coming along with its 5 different stations of different craft genres. It’s sooooo hard to let go and since I am about done, I will see where crafting takes me. I use to scrapbook and I do want to pick that back up for memories for my family. Who knows what else will become a passion. I love it all. 😊 Thx Lindsey for sharing about using your old stuff. Because Girl, I am done with purchases. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

When I played with my Barbies I would take albums and stack them like you would stack a deck of cards to make different rooms for them. I would use tissue boxes as a bed with washclothes as a blanket and use quarters for plates etc.

Omg, your comment brought me back to early Barbie days with my little sister, and we used washcloths for the shag carpet! We also had those two-tier end tables Lindsay mentioned, so great for multi-level rooms! Blast from the past!🥰👍🏻

This was my 1st time watching an Altenew interview with Lindsay and I loved it! Bridget is a really fun and knowledgeable representative for Altenew, and of course we already know and love Lindsay. I'm surprised how much I learned about her that I didn't know! Anyway, I'll definitely be watching further interviews and classes.

This was so inspiring!! I often get nervous about creating because I think what I make won’t turn out well, so I don’t even bother trying. I started sketching while listening to this and am about to add some watercolor. Your tips and reminders are always incredibly helpful, Lindsay! Thank you!

Hullo Lindsay, I truly enjoyed listening to your origin story! I am also a young beginner. I was taught by my Gran along with my cousins, aunts n uncles too! She helped out with taking care of the “kids” during the summer months and several of us decided to follow through during the rest of the year! My Gran set up my first watercolor palette and I remember asking her “where is my green?” She said that green is a color that you mix! I have since purchased and set up my own palettes for years now and I will put even 2 greens in a palette! I love how you bring the “Maine mindset” of frugality or parsimonious to your art! Use what you got is the perfect solution to rampant consumerism and help all of us to save money! Thank you.
