You are right about knowing your costs and what the car is worth. I just bought a C4 Corvette that does not run. I don't know enough about them and it is costing me. I'm running through all diagnostics now and it is daunting! By the time I get it going I will have more in it than I can sell it for. I'm learning the hard way!

I just got back from St. Louis to NC (about the same mileage as you at 980 miles) driving back a 1979 Mercedes 300SD (turbodiesel) after winning it on Bring-A-Trailer. Absolutely nerve wreching, but home with no problems! I did spend one night in Louisville, KY....not driving non-stop as you did!

LOL Agree 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000% I lived in Houston for 20+ years, I use to leave for work 2 1/2 hours early just to make it on time. The traffic is mainly from them working on the HWYS, they get one area done, 2 weeks later come back to that area and they are starting all over. So glad I no longer live in Houston or even TX. LOL

I can believe how expensive fuel is in Georgia! I live on an island that straddles the Indian and pacific oceans(Australia), that imports 85%of its oil and taxes fuel at $1.14 per gallon. I pay $4.90 per gallon for supreme. Georgia is a state in one of the largest oil producing countries in the world and supreme costs $4.66 per gallon! Just for comparison, supreme is about $2.39 per gallon in Oman 😂
