As a pediatric home care nurse I have to tell you that this is the most impressive, organized supply set up I have ever seen! It’s amazing how much stress can be added from having a mess of medical supplies at home. I’m really amazed! You have the kind of home any nurse would love to work in!

It looks absolutely incredible. And that's coming from a super organised OCD mum of 2 boys. My boys have medical needs but nothing like yours, just asthma and stomach issues but my oldest son's severe asthma caused a Mallory Weis tear. It's very rare for children at the age of 2 and a half to get this (he's now nearly 6) he still has uncontrollable asthma though and is sick at night multiple times so we have lots of things at the side of his bed ready for those situations. You are absolutely incredible, everything you've learnt and set up for your children. Be proud. You are amazing. Sending so much love from the UK x

What an incredible mum (&dad) you are. The board is fantastic literally you do get use to it but at first it's scary as hell and even when use to it you have so so much going on it never hurts+ especially knowing ppl are coming in to look after them you want to be sure they know what is going on so not to repeat yourself ten times over daily 🤦🏼♀️ loved the little video of the champ at the start he's growing so so cute 😍 TBF I think I am going to do that on the inside of the door for my different tubes, syringes etc what a great idea. LOVE how you showed how they're held in my jej is held in like that. And then my peg have the different bits on. I'm just commenting as the video goes along but what a fantastic video & content for other parents who have this and to educate people who don't know and maybe are a bit afraid to ask. 🙌👏

When I was a pediatric home health nurse one thing I learned was to use Listerine with the suction machine. You have to use water after each use so using Listerine it kills the germs and its for oral use anyway so we were taught it was safe to keep the suction machine cleaned. It is dumped every night but Listerine helped with the smell and keeping it free from germs. Especially during sick times when virus is in the secretions. Hope this helps and your doing a great job.

You absolutely rock!!! You are so organized but by being organized that helps remove unnecessary stress. Here's something many people don't think about. (You may have done this already) Call your electric company and have them flag the account that a medically fragile person/people live there. This is good for if the power goes out you should be a priority. You should also have the police dept. flag your information for the same reason. I had a cousin who was medically fragile, and this had to be done. Their house was always a priority to get back up ASAP. Don't know if that works everywhere or not but it should. Blessings

I know it can’t be easy with one boy still in hospital. My thoughts are with you and your family. I have never dealt with a treack with my son. But we brought him home on oxygen he was born 3 premie. I have baby sat for friend for many years who had a son who had both a treack and gtube. I was one of only 2 people who would baby sit her one son. He has a condition where his face doesn’t grow. I know it can’t be easy. I learn to feed him and suction his treack.

I know it's not even close to what you're dealing with but I do somewhat get the confusion of the medical supplies. My mom had a bad infection and I had to be her nurse to do iv antibiotics. The amount of supplies for the iv port and drips, the amount of supplies for the wounds and then the supplies and care for the wounds post amputation surgery is overwhelming. I've also been a single mom during all of this. You are doing amazing!

@thefullerfam2 жыл бұрын
1ML & 3ML I got because I use Ezrah’s old ones and wash them that they use at the hospital! They throw them away otherwise so I just take them home and clean them. The others we get from our DME every month! When Ez comes home I’ll get 12 syringes a month (size of my choice) so we usually do 6ML syringes!

Maybe this is a silly question and you could answer in a video at some point... Are they eventually going to be able to eat and breath on their own? How long are you going to do tube feeds and oxygen tanks or is it wait and see?
@thefullerfam2 жыл бұрын
Yes they will! All in due time. Daxon is about to come off of oxygen, Croix is beginning to eat more foods by mouth, & Ezrah is having settings weaned to eventually come off the vent. It just takes time 🤍
@nancydebiasio52732 жыл бұрын
I know it’s challenging and I do believe that we’re only given what we can handle. In the future is there the possibility of the tubes coming out on at least Daxon and Croix as they’re little systems mature? Or that Ezra’s breathing will be improved that his trach can be off for a period of time and capped.
