Its neither, it is affected by your FP. This is very unintuitive, I know. I've been doing lots of testing and you can only get big damage on the melee projectile after building up your FP with bullet frenzy.

@@diecastdestination1981 anomaly power does boost the damage, also feed the flames boosts damage by 25% for each enemy affected so if you have the 2 mods that give you 3 additional targets, that puts you at 4 that can be affected for 100% boost. Then you hit ash blast with death sentence and you get that boost as well

Sweet! I've been waiting for you to talk about this underrated set! I've been using it for 3 weeks, I don't use martial arts mod tho because I found it unnecessary, you can hit even harder by replacing it with a weapon dmg mod. Also, the top PAX tree works more consistently for this set, keeping your buffs and debuffs up 100% of the time, especially since you can easily lose your Bullet Frenzy buff sometimes. I'm now using the Torturer Set for Volcanic Rounds, nothing hits as hard as the build I'm using, at gear level 65, I always have +2 billion dmg for every run in group play!

I've been using this build for about a week or so. Mine is set up a little differently. The highest damage I've seen from my 'Hadouken' was 206 million. 🔥 It's a fun build for sure.

What are some mods you use for staying alive? I realized I have to use something with weapon life leach to stay healthy and even then sometimes it's a bit tough

@@AG-fv4yb It is tough man. The main source of health I rely on is Feed the Flames. If you can get damage absorber it's well worth it at level 75. I believe it caps at over 200K additional armor.

@@d.antoniobrown7615 I'm currently tier 24 level like 57ish I think, my biggest issue i feel is I'm not putting out enough damage. I've been super unlucky with my armor and I only have like 11 mods that are usable out of the 15 that you get. I don't have ashen boost, bullet kindling, or captain hunter. All those mods are literally like 40%damage boost I'm missing out on so the arbiters are a pain, skinwalkers 2 shot me since you get stunned from the first melee

I’m apocalypse lvl 25 and ascension 43. I was real dubious about the power of this build. However, I gave it a go AND….. I don’t have shatter, bullet kindling, sharp eye and martial arts, not all my armour is lvl 60, and yet I’m wiping the floor of ads and bosses, where with previous build was getting my ass well and truly kicked. I been watching your builds since outriders dropped. Love the content. Might I make a suggestion and use the mod that boosts melee damage by 300% when dropping below 30% health instead of martial arts? I've been playing my Pyro alot lately and feel like the melee cool down is already good. Maybe partner with the shield boost mod that gives shield at 30% health? Just a suggestion. Love the build bro.

very cool concept on this set, and something that I would love to try eventually, if the loot wasn't so stingy, and I could constantly make and use diferent builds, in a reasonable amount of time, like I could before WorldSlayer. Won't happen now, until the Devs take their heads of their asses, and make the make rewarding again. As to the overheal, I've been mostly playing Firepower Pyro since launch, and I NEVER saw the Overheal mechanic. In your gameplay I don't see Overheal as well. Can you explain me how that works, and how do we know if we have Overheat...?

@@jamesng4201 keep bullet frenzy stacks up the whole time you’re bringing down the first pillar, right when it finishes make sure there are a couple mobs to suck with feed the flames suck them up to empower your melee and shoot it at the boss. If the build is set up right it will one shot him the rest of the way

@@diecastdestination1981 I feel you on this. I had to totally change how I played from my other pyro builds. I had to use cover and positioning more, rather than what I was used to spamming powers with a lot of AOE. I have feed the flames on a super low cool down + increased range. It's a great panic button to get your health back when I get caught in the open.

I will try this. I think my biggest disappointment is PCF forcing players to play more FP than AP. I felt this is what set Outriders apart. It was the same issue with Destiny 1 where supers and abilities were more available and now in Destiny 2, much much more reduced relying on gun play mostly. I don’t mind a balance but I love all AP builds in Outriders as it is so different. Our characters have special a abilities so let’s use them.

hey i got a mod combo that no one is using thats super o.p. should make a video on it. using the maxwell set piro. with a lmg having ano.aly enhancement and till do us part mod... with the armour mod the cycle. .. more op power..

Remove 20% damage node and move it to hot situation. Have anomaly enhancement on your weapon. Way way way way more damage on all accounts.

I played around with this last night and was shocked that the melee fireball scaled off of firepower and not anomaly. I haven't dialed this in yet but I think the heatwave mod that leaves the wave of +40% damage also increases the fireball damage also. Maybe in wrong? In any case, this build is silly fun especially if I've been firing an LMG for a minute straight and have the firepower stacked up. I wasn't able to one pillar Akriel though, haven't figured that out.

Using Techno Gear Transmog as a pyro makes me want to play my Techno again :P Sadly in my opinion Techno and basicly all other classes are by far outclassed by pyro. Buuut atleast Techno looks better :P Nice job tho i will not under any cicrumstances will use that melee set thing. But keep it coming :)

The cooldown reduction doesn't work from the Ascension tree. Is it because I've already reached the cap with 3 CDRs from my armor? But the 10% CDR works if I use the Wildfire node in the skill tree. 🤔

Odd, it should work, the only cool down that shouldn't work is the melee (because it's not a skill) but you should be able to spam the abilities on the list that says the skills have cool down reduction for

Love the content and the build man!!! I've been using a similar build for a week or so now, except I go very top Pax tree. This allows you to use Feed the Flames much more frequently, amplifying all the mods associated with it such as the over heal mod, the ass explosion mod, and all those fun ones, but also the Scorched Zealot set bonus which is always in the top 2 or 3 of my damage sources.

I like the scorched zealot but I hate feed the flames so I was able to remove all the feed the flames and replaced it with thermal bomb and faser beam and it makes a fun way of playing by using head chest and boots and pants and gloves of heat sink but your way is also looks fun I'll try it thanks for making a video on this set

I use heat wave over ash blast and go halfway top tree then drop down and get the cap on the middle tree. Absolutely melts.
