You’re right on with your description of permit fishing . For some reason when I’m chasing them I get very nervous and have to tell myself make your first cast your best cast and to have them take a surface fly even better . That was a nice permit , what number was he ? :-) thanks for sharing.

That is not a permit. Permit is a fish of the Atlantic, Trachinotus falcatus. It's an American name. Yours is a Trachinotus anak. Mostly known here as a snub-nosed dart. (As is Trachinotus blochi.)
