These have really won me over. 200X was what made me a fan so the styling works for me. I'm hoping this is going to be to Mattel what GI Joe is to Hasbro, cutting their margins down, putting their best and brightest behind it with lots of unique parts etc. Just needs the proper wrist hinges. I cant imagine what-if Mattel had put this level of energy into their DC offerings. A little ironic that in the time of big head syndrome, MOTU has swerved the other direction and I don't mind.

I picked up Skeletor and He-Man today, and I like them MUCH more than I expected to. But I gotta find a replacement for that cape. It's not the worst thing I've ever seen, but it could be SO much better, and with it being so easy to replace there's no reason not to.

For whatever reason, even though I was nuts for He-Man as a kid, MOTU just didn't carry through into my adult collecting habits. Still, they look interesting enough that, if they were 1/11 - 1/12 scale, I might be tempted to grab them.

I've never owned a single MOTU figure, but I've watched tons of old Pixel Dan Classics reviews that I just kinda absorbed lots of MOTU knowledge from there. I kinda want to get these, the more modern articulation is a big incentive for me. At the very least I want to grab Skeletor and Moss Man, hit up Moss Man with some washes and dry-brushing to bring out that sculpt more.

Head sizes look fine to me; some stills from the trailer have even smaller heads. As you say, heads should be smaller than the rest of the body to make a character look more powerful (Jim Lee Batman comes to mind). Some cases can go overboard, especially those used for comedic effect, but the problem here seems to be, for He-Man at least, that the silhouette is off because the core muscles for the signature heroic v-taper are undersized; thighs, back, and chest in particular. It's a swole guy, just not swole enough in the right places, and that makes him look weird.

Langella Skeletor is the BEST Skeletor. Both in terms of figures, and just general incarnations of the character. But Masterverse Skeletor is definitely my second favorite. *(200X Skeletor is my second favorite incarnation of the character (not figure. Just the animated series) )

As someone who loved the He-Man series DC Comics ran throughout the 2010s, I really love that the Masterverse figures are the same height range as the DC Multiverse figures. Can't wait to have Superman and He-Man team up on my shelf.

So far, Battle Cat is the only Revelation figure which appeals to me. I understand from reviews that he is a bit big, but I'm hoping he will pair well enough with my Club Grayskull He-Man and Prince Adam. I really like that the Revelation Battle Cat has a Cringer face under his armor.

Just got He-man, aparently there's some running change with the bracer, I couldn't take mine off, not even with hot water, it ain't a problem but I thought it was worth bringing up. Also, as much as I'm actually really happy with the figure, I can't understand why they didn't put vertical hinges on the grip hands, also that diaphragm looks like it could swivel more than it does, it's a bit frustrating to deal with that 😅

I have no attachment to MOTU, but I like the character designs in the new series and I'm always looking for some solid 7-inch figures, so I might give these a whirl. As a complete outsider when it comes to MOTU, I don't mind Evil-Lyn's fur collar, and she is easily the best figure in this wave. Those face sculpts and paint apps are wonderful and I like that she has some meat on her arms! That is way to rare when it comes to female action figures, or women in... well, media in general, really. Moss Man I could take or leave, but He-Man and Skeletor look like they weren't fully completed. I really don't like the face sculp on He-Man, or how much his armour blends into his skin, and there is so much wrong with the Skeletor figure. That broken up emblem is genuinely shocking to me.

Did Mattel get back the molds for the Classics line, or does Super7 own them now? It would be great if Mattel just re-released the Classics/Ultimates. That's still the definitive He-Man figure, and more of us want him now since we're getting more and more Super7 Ultimates lines that scale with the Classics. Plus, he sells for friggin HUNDREDS on ebay now. Would appreciate a re-release.

So I just saw the trailer for the new show and their heads are tiny (He-man more so than Skelator) the girls and the older guys aren't so bad but the younger male characters definitely have weirdly skinny heads so maybe they're just going by the (new) source material. The few non-human guys in it were proportionate I thought also

My only criticism of the articulation and engineering, is the pegs being too thin causes worry for snapping, and the neck should have just had a double barbell joint for wider range of motion.

I am wanting He-Man, Evil Lyn, and Moss Man. I will be using all 3 as villains. He-Man as evil Heracles, Evil Lyn as White Haired Witch, and Moss Man as, of course, a Swamp Creature. I always need villains! It just doesn't look good if your heroes have the numbers advantage! The heroes start looking like bullies! On my 3 Marvel Earth's, with Army Builders, I can give the villains a slight numbers advantage. But on 5 DC Earth's and my Earth Between, the villains are very outnumbered.

Mixed bag for me. I love the articulation (finally double jointed elbows and knees!) and some of the designs. It reminds me of the Mondo figures. But the colors on He-Man are off for me. A little bothered with head size as well. Will still get this but I hope we get an upgrade in later waves.

My first Skeletor fell apart. Upper waist and arm would not rotate or move from the package. Tried the boiled method to loosen the joints, plastic became soft. Tried to rotate the arms both arms. Both fell off, upper waist snapped too when I tried to move it. After it was in pieces I saw that excessive amounts of glue was used. The arms were glued in place were they where they are supposed to rotate and I guess it ran down to the upper waist making it unable to move. (Fyi very thin plastic) Needless to say I was disappointed with this figure, falling apart from the package. I did pick up a 2nd one, which was better but I shouldn't have too.

I kind of hate He-Man's smiling face. When it comes to action figures, if we're not getting multiple heads, I kind of tend to prefer angry or neutral faces, as it's less strange to see those in a neutral/non-action pose than to see happy faces in an action pose. If it's not a Deadpool or Joker figure, most of the time they have no business smiling during action poses. Other than that he looks ok. Mossman looks just fine. Lyn's neck is definitely too short. Skeletor is just... just take it as an alternate universe Skeletor. That way everyone is happy.

He-Man seems more Thundarr, if not a blond Conan, to me. He need the broader upper torso. I need to find a brown vest for him. He def has a toon-face. Skeletor looks more like Taskmaster than Keldor. That face is totally a mask. I'm mentally prepping a Faker on this guy. Moss Man looks better. I can put him into my DCEU display as Swamp Thaaang. Evil-Lyn is definitely joining him as Ice. I should have picked up that extra WWEternia Steph today to swap parts on her. I hate that the "acceptable" standard cost is moving to $25. I balked at $15 when Hasbro took over Marvel, missed out FFF and Rulk, protesting that hike. I don't think I would have completed FFF anyway? I never saw ...was it End Hulk? I saw someone use BAF Sasquatch as a base for a Beast Man. Looked WICKID. Curious as to what Mattel is going to do with him.

A few things: 1. I personally liked the paint scheme that was shown the PR images for Masterverse Moss Man. The lighter brown, I think, helped to make his colors pop more. The decision to go with a dark green instead makes this action figure look more blah. 2. The Classics line was sculpted by the Four Horsemen. Mattel doesn't mention who sculpted Masterverse. And not having the Four Horsemen this time around, I think, hurts the Masterverse line. Mattel, I think, needs to bring the Four Horsemen back for the Masterverse line, so that we can great looking MOTU action figures action. (Note: Mattel no longer has any of the tooling--aka molds--for the Classics line, so there can never be any reissues of the Classics line.) 3. If you don't like an action figure, just don't buy it...and then let it become a shelf warmer. As Robo has hinted, we're going to see a version 2.0 of He-Man and Skeletor for the Masterverse line. And Masterverse is supposed to be like an MOTU version of TF Studio Series, so we will hopefully see different versions of the MOTU from different series.
