I wouldn't get fillers. Don't jump on trends. I thought about it for a good time in my life, but I always waited to see what the repercussions are and there it is......botched, makes you look WAY older than you are and there are so many reasons not to. Its a good thing for older people, possibly, but young? You all getting these procedures are falling for media standards and getting used for easy money. This is what they wanted.

Thank you so much for recognizing things that so many struggle with. Don’t feel so burdened as if it’s all your fault, because it’s not. Those people were telling you to change and you felt like you had to. It takes a strong person to realize how gaslit they have been by others to the point that they gaslight themselves. I highly appreciate this perspective of things and I hope you are heard.

A phrase that has REALLY worked for me and my self-confidence is: "Yup, I look like a normal human." On my good days and my bad days, remembering I'm human and made in the image of God despite whatever "imperfections" I think I see has been really reassuring for me as I get older.

Perfected faces tend to look "uncanny valley" bc no human face is perfect. They look beautiful but they don't make you feel comfortable and humanly connected, especially when the facial gestures are affected and non verbal communication is compromised. Imperfect faces are human faces that make vulnerable human conections (obviously is not that extreme there are levels but yk what I mean)

You know Gabbie, this video will help a lot of people. It sure helped me a lot. Recently, I was at my first consultation for a nose correction and I caught myself trying to justify the risks of going blind or losing my nose to necrosis, to a point where I realized that the usually rational human being in me just vanished so quickly because I wanted to look a certain way to everybody else. Your video made me cancel my next appointment, and I will honor my nose because it shows my heritage and family history. Thank you, G.

I understand getting procedures done for things you're insecure about but for drs to constantly suggest to change parts of your face is sooooo unacceptable. I don't think they should be giving their unwillingly opinions on COSMETIC surgery.
@TheSwauzz
@TheSwauzz 4 ай бұрын
To be fair, medical doctors are not supposed to do that per their code of ethics. Cosmetic surgery places get around this by have techs give suggestions or just simply break their code. Be wary of pop up cosmetic procedure places too, where faked medical licenses run rampant. To add--ANY doctor/surgeon suggesting something you are even remotely "uhhh I don't know" about, get a new doctor/surgeon. Even if you are someone overly anxious, there is a doctor out there who is actually going to make you feel comfortable with any decision.

Listen Gabby, I am 1 month away from my mommy make over surgery.. something I’ve wanted for 9 years. Now you come out with this video, I’m over here paranoid 😅. Not only because I hate going under, but because the amount of lack of self love I have for this body right now, is huge. I mean, so huge that I’m literally get chopped and stuffed because of it. When I was 20 I wanted fake boobs, because I hated my body then too. Later I came to a point of acceptance and love and 20 years later, I can’t seem to come to that point again. I pray that my surgery helps me and not harms me. I pray that anyone watching or reading this loves themselves soooo much, they can figure a way to just adore themselves as they are. I just sent this video to my mom who has body dysmorphia. She is always talking about how old she is looking, how ugly she is and how she was the ugly duckling in the family of 5 sisters and currently gets Botox and fillers for things. She always points out features she hates about herself. Funny enough, people always say I am her TWIN. You said something in here that sparked my brain to say “she is always talking down about her looks, but if I look like her, am I ugly? Why does she think I’m pretty but not herself?” That’s why I sent her this. Thank you for this. Thank you for sharing your experience and your truth because we definitely can all relate. P.S. I ALWAYS WONDERED WHY YOU GOT THE NECK TATTOO. Let me tell you, I never noticed any “tendrils” until you pointed them out. You were beautiful at every point in between each one of those procedures, but you’re a diamond shining now in confidence and beauty and I can see you believe it, too. This is so true and needs to be talked about. I went in for a lip flip because the girls at my esthetics school talked me into it. I got there to find out I “needed” to do my bottom lip, my smile lines, Botox in my brows, and forehead. Things I’d never even thought of as imperfections. And it sent me into a spiral.

Anyone I see who doubts Gabbie's growth and just all round maturity and evolution.. this is the video I'll show. This is absolutely the climax of acknowledgement, understanding, empathy, apology and actual comprehension of how damaging false ideals can be. How easy it is to be lured into those traps and lose yourself, and more importantly... come back. Her attention to detail, noticing these things after the fact and rather then leaving them as noticed, to understand what they mean, the positives and negatives and more importantly acknowledging the damage done is not only uplifting to a viewer on a platform but a true informer to the growth of the creator posting this. I commend you Gabbie. I've been here a LONGG time and throughout the years it's felt like I've travelled some of these highs and lows with you, but never have I believed more that you are where you need to be. Honestly, Gabbie’s filler videos are why I got filler. Not to be like her- but because I thought “if she can do it and look “better” then why can’t I? I want to look better and more symmetrical” I didn’t really pay much attention to fillers or know all you could do until Gabbie. So I am glad she is recognizing the harm in promoting that because I regret ever touching my face with filler. God, thank you for making this video. This conversation has been building in my chest like a fire for so long & this is just the tip of the iceberg. There's so much more I want said, and I hope this topic catches fire because my God, it's so important and relevant right now. This is the best and most honest video I've seen in a good long while. I have so many thoughts and I want to unveil so many perspectives. You talking about how it happens - that's what I figured. This was well said and very impactful and I hope it's heard.

I do not typically comment on videos, however, watching this video was so beautiful. To be able to hear your mindset and what you went through internally to get to where you are today. Beautiful. You are so relatable and as a fan since your vine days it has been a privilege to watch you grow and to see your metamorphosis into this beautiful human, inside and out. I'm a nobody, but, I'm so proud of you.

I am SAVING THIS!!!! I was spending thousands on a regular basis at 28…started with under eyes because someone said I looked tired. Ended at 365 with Fraxel Dual Laser treatment for tighter skin (!!?) that would essentially peel my face off in the process, cheek fillers despite always being complimented in the past about how lucky I was to have naturally high cheekbones, lip filler despite always being complimented in the past by men and women on how “beautiful and full” my lips were, Botox even though I didn’t have forehead wrinkles at all nor wrinkles around my eyes, filler for the smile lines on the side of my mouth, Botox for the top lip so I could essentially have that stupid pout everyone has….it was too much…I started getting eyelash extensions weekly, hair extensions regularly….I WAS NATURALLY PRETTY AND COMPLETELY CHANGED MYSELF…for WHAT!? Been almost a year without anything and I’m much happier! It was a mental health thing not a financial thing.

You have never looked more beautiful. Happiness and confidence really does radiate physically through people's faces, but also causes them to make fashion or aesthetic choices that look so much better. You can tell when people have something unresolved within themselves because they want to hide from themselves and don't want to recognize themselves in the mirror.

Gabbie, Thank you for this video. I was one of those followers you spoke of in this video. I'm part lebanese also, and my nose is different compared to others in my life and it's crooked. I have hated it for so long... I remember your video of you getting your nose done and I wanted mine done so badly but could not afford to have it done. I'm now 41 and let me tell you, it's been rough. I have always been known as the hair and makeup girl and I hid my insecurities behind it all. Well, at this point my hair is flat and won't do a thing I want it to do and my skin is dry and has lines that make me look haggard. feel gross and I have gained about 20lb since December.... I have never expressed my feelings to anyone until now. It nice to hear the truth about the truth beauty industry and most of all it nice to hear that it is possible to learn that not being "prefect" is okay and that it is okay to love ourselves anyways. I'm so glad you are doing better and that you are back . I truly missed you. ❤

I didn't expect the exact message I needed to hear right now to come from Gabbie Hannah... I'm a fully grown woman, who made a conscious choice to avoid any plastic surgery or procedures. But lately as I see pretty much everyone around me who's my age or even much younger doing it, I've been feeling insecure and questioning myself. Love this video, reminded me of all the reasons why I choose not to take that route. I have utmost respect for Gabbie for her determination and courage to be herself.

I’m so glad you’re speaking about this. Not only is it really interesting but it says a lot about what influencing was like when the job started getting more attention about 10 years ago. Obviously this was recent, but I am referring to the appearance obsession that was hidden for many years and thus leads to the cultures now. I remember around 2019 when things started getting harder for you, and the increase you did talking about your face not being symmetrical. Attention to your nose, lips and the right side of your face. As a view I honestly could not tell at all but I noticed how much it was effecting you. Then I remember the video you did posted (since deleted) about maybe getting surgery on your neck. I remember how cruel everyone was about that video, but my heart went out to you. We are similar in age, and I could imagine how it must have felt being in the influencer world as long as you had and the struggles you had previously mentioned with your self image. I am glad you are speaking about this with good boundaries set in place. Thank you for being so honest

Damn, beyond just being incredibly moving, this was such a well-done piece of work! Clearly well-thought out but so organic and passionate. Very courageous and mature of you to own how your hurt allowed you to hurt others. But I'm also so sorry for the violent ways that medical professionals abused their power and took advantage of you. Sending you so many prayers, you are powerful. First video I've ever seen from you, btw!

2:20 the second image is a woman who *has* had rhinoplasty, you can see the scars. Not only that, but you can measure her nose in both images and clearly see the major reduction in mass. It is misleading to post that image while saying "here is a picture of nose filler, a non-surgical procedure".

Gabbie I’m so happy that you are better, that you’ve come to peace with your looks. Honestly it made me kinda sad when you made the video about nose filler cause I never understood why people feel so comfortable to point out your nose just cause it’s not what they are used to. As you said, features that give you character, uniqueness of it, that’s what makes us beautiful.

You have so many good stories and experiences of the dark side of being an influencer and have so much inside information about the industry. Someone should do a documentary about the influencer industry and the reality of what it is like.
