Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 | Full Game Walkthrough | No Commentary

After two years we finally continue the epic saga of Poppy Playtime and Chapter 3 promises to be the most ambitious and epic yet! We continue right where we left off when we tried to escape together with Poppy in the train. This time our adversary is a new creature known as Catnap. This cat hunts us as we head to the orphanage where we have to solve various puzzle and overcome different obstacles. There are even some surprises laying in store with entire new enemy types and also returning favorites like Poppy herself and Kissy Missy.
The overall tone is much darker, but I love the detail and atmosphere of the orphanage. It all feels much more epic and grand in scale. There is more variety in the environments and it takes hints from other horror classics like P.T. Even the new enemy type that is a take on the Weeping Angel gameplay was very tense and scary and overall this is by far the best chapter in the Poppy Playtime trilogy yet. I cannot wait to see where the story will head towards next!

This entire chapter gives me Bioshock vibes. I mean think about it: you begin being dropped down into an unknown city. You're guided through said city by an unknown faceless voice (albeit Poppy has, well Poppy and Kissy Missy as well to guide you). The voice that guides you helps you through dangerous parts of cities, tells you about the monsters, all while fighting your way through to the end of the city where you face off with the big bad. Not to mention the entire intro sections to both of the cities. You're in an enclosed area, with a voice of the person behind the city playing over a speaker as you get a view of the entire city.

The best part is that there is no one to disturb: 1. there is no voice acting, which allows you to immerse yourself in the plot and make theories yourself. 2. You really watch it like a movie and no one or nothing bothers you! How I adore game films!

I still remember the first time I watched chapter 2. It was so mysterious and creepy. The wonderful and disturbing animation of Mommy dying and the prototype stimulated my imagination so much. My first thought seeing that hand was "hell nah, there's a creature that eats them??!!". It disturbed me so much, I couldn't even imagine what that could look like. Wonderful chapter. Chapter 3 had so much hype around that it wasn't even mysterious. There should be no arg, everything should be explained in-game

​@@mikehooray in this video there is no voice acting, but it has other KZbinrs...but I'll be honest, their comments are ruin full game, because these unessesary words, jokes, etc...just like when you’re studying, you get distracted by it and don’t understand what the plot is actually... as a rule, some KZbinrs don’t go straight into the plot, but just want to look at the game, when we can get a lot out of it and really enjoy the game! By the way, I once dreamed that I was there where Kissi was attacked. There was a lot of red there, it was sharply cold and it was as if all the exits were closed. My conscience ached that this was because of me, but Poppy said (if I’m not mistaken): “This is not your fault, don’t cry, don’t worry, we will find her! And then the offenders will get what they deserve...”

In case people didnt know about DogDay’s voice line of screaming: Dogday’s voice of screaming had also some sounds. During the screaming of DogDay’s screaming line, you can hear legs getting ripped out. Then you hear him in MORE pain. Now CatNap ripped/tore his legs fully apart. Thats how you saw DogDay in some belts hanging with no legs (the nerves from it is also gone, too) . Hope this helps!

That Prototype is starting to perk my interest on how to defeat it. Now I feel bad for all those toys who have to suffer and eat people because of the Prototype. There was a theory that the green glove that we shoot CatNap with could be a weak spot in the prototype. And it would make sense. Mostly because CatNap is the only toy whose whole body is stolen by the Prototype. All the others were fractions, but CatNap got Jesus lifted. Could also be because CatNap worshipped the damn thing.

Then there's the difference in physical look, as the creepy one was fairly monotone and wooden (tee-hee) while this one is warm, inflective, and lifelike...
