Sean Gahan you can parry all mikiri attacks, AKA thrust attacks. However the same can’t be said for sweep attacks or grabs, so don’t use the Red Kangi as a parry indicator but rather the animations of the enemy

@@ninjatuna1362 it is pretty obviously a sweep. The sword glints to his left, and then slides to the right (vice versa on different enemies) and that's how you know if it's a sweep. Edit: the top is for anyone other than Isshin. For Isshin he thrusts his blade into the ground behind him, or he thrusts it into the ground and the white leaves start flying and those are the tells.

My strategy for the bull was run away to get enough distance to bait the charge. You can actually reflect the charge which stubs him long enough to get a few hits in. Then just run away again to bait the charge and repeat. Timing is a little tricky though.

Absolutely love this boss fight. I pussied out the whole game... And then the isshin took 1 and a half month to beat. I was so proud of the progression everyday. I stopped seeing it as "survive as long as i can" but instead "no dmg run" genichiro was a joke, ishhin part 1 always killed me, then ishhin part 2 killed me for over 2 weeks... Finally i killed him after so long... It was rewarding as hell. Ng+ was like anakin yeeting younglings. Remember isshin's warning No hesitation...

There are still people who don't know that block is different than parry/deflect. Blocking is simply holding up your sword as a shield to enemy attacks, whereas deflecting is kind of "attacking" your opponent's weapon, dealing posture damage and sometimes staggering them leaving open for counter attack.
