How do you die during the Volo scene? It removes your eye but he usually gives you a new one that gives you the ability to see the invisible. Never died there.

if you jump through the hole where the matriarch spider is, then yes, if you climb down the stairs no. Maybe you could survive with feather fall, but I kinda doubt it. Worth giving it a shot tho.

Thanks for the compilation. A shame they made most of these come without sounds to accompany them. Main character getting brain sucked by an Illithid, throat sliced by Lae'zel, blood sucked by Astarion, etc. All come with no vocal reactions. Same with Lae'zel getting stabbed in the throat. No sound at all. Weird.

I've not played this game yet and I am still debating on whether I should, the soundtrack is good, the graphics are okay. But I'm lost with the storyline, what the hell is happening. What would be the point of going through all the hassle to recruit your companies only for your character to turn into a twat and kill them all. If you are a danger to them, then it's easier to go alone. 😒. Like I said I'm still debating whether it's worth the money and time to play this game.

Don't worry, your character won't go into a killing spree unless you pick those kind of decisions. The storyline it's all about the actions you make along the way, but the "evil" ones are pretty obvious, you can finish the game with all your companions alive 😁.

You'd only go evil route as a challenge or just as a unique experience. Some people have complained about the lack of uniquely evil gear and content, and claimed that Larian promised to reward every choice, but honestly most people just want to slay some baddies and have a good time, and only go evil for the novelty. Sure there's probably some edgy person who wants to be their worst self in the virtual world, but the game heavily punishes you in terms of gameplay for going evil, losing out on many companion storylines and gear. So the game systems push you to pick mostly good or mutually beneficial options, and the evil options are very obvious, so you really have to go out of your way to confirm them. So don't worry about being a jerk; sure, The Dark Urge sounds rather ominous, but aside from 1-2 instances where you get a forced death (they can also be avoided if you do some google searching), you have full control over what your character does. You can always play the hero, and save the world with your companions, solving all their problems along the way.

Thank you for the reply's and clearing that up for me, and if the storyline is good then it's worth the price, plus I've seen your characters are able to interact with pet companions and play fetch with a wolf so that's a win in my book. Not a lot of games nowadays have interactions with canine companions where you can pet them 😊

It's primarily the choices that you make (or the best as you can). Usually if you stick to the good path, you get the positive endings. Only play Dark Urge if you want an evil route.

The plot is simple: You have a parasite in your brain that will turn you into a tentacled monster. You need to get it out. You won't randomly kill your companions, unless you choose to do so, and it's not easier to go alone, it's a turn-based game, so unless you're ready to tank dozens of enemies, you need companions.

Also Shadowheart is basically a human if you really care that much, her elven side isn't really noticeable. Finally the roaster of companions is fairly diverse and well distributed, you've got two humans (three if you count Wyll), a half-elf, a vampire elf, a tiefling, a githyanki, a drow a high elf and a wood elf.
