There were talks about an RE2 remake for months before the reveal. It clicked with the zombie and the words came out during the flashlight. It wasn't the flashlight that sparked the realization.

GAME OF TTHE YEAR YALL.FUCK YEEEEAAAAHHH!!!! I got this a few month after it dropped on Xbox One. Bills Yo. Got the Deluxe Edition. This shit gave me nightmares just like the 1 st time I played the 1st RE 2. Of course I was 17 and on Vicodin for a broken ankle. This shit rocks. This time I got noise canceling ear phones and really get immersed. So happy that this won. It deserves it. Capcom is came back from the brink of degeneracy with shitty business practices.Now is just kicking all kinds of ass. kicking so much ass.

D Dylast fans didn't want to get their hopes up. This was the first time they ever showed footage of re2 remake plus with other zombie titles coming out, like WWZ, Days Gone, Dying Light, it could've been any one of those titles.
