For (a) on the iteration quetion, I rearranged the equation to x^3=4x-1 and then substituted both x=0 and x=1 values in to the equation. I then said x=0 makes a -ve value and x=1 makes a +ve value so there must be a solution between 0 and 1 because negative mean there are 0 solutions and positive means there are 2 solutions. Is that alternate method alright?

@@haniyaali5343 I would say make sure to do lots of past papers as it helps you understand how they phrase questions and helps you notice which topics you lack knowledge so you revise of those topics, also watch gcse e maths tutor videos trust me they litrelly saved I went from struggling to get a 4 a year ago to getting 8s and 9s now especially watch the 7-9 videos if your aiming for higher grades! But key thing practise!

@@woknow9356 yess i got a 7 in my mocks and rlly want a 9. You know the ratio question we had in our exam i didn’t know how to approach it and i’ve always been good with ratios. This lets me down because idk what to do

@@haniyaali5343 you basically had to change the ratio 6:5 to algebra so you could create an equation so 6x +1.5:5x+1.5 as they 1.50 increase in their salary and turn that into algerbraic fraction which equals to the new ratio 13:11 cross multiply them and the rearrange the equation to get x=3 by itself then after that multiply by the original ratio so 6*3 and 5*3 so they original money they earned an hour was £15 and £18 .if your doubtful about your answer theirs a marksheme on youtube you could use to check your answer if you still remember them that’s how I checked mine.

no this is only for when the data is in continuous series, this is a random series so the median formula would not work.

I don't think sine and cosine will come up on paper 3, because the advance info specifically mentioned sine and cosine for paper 2, but it just says trig and 3D trig for paper 3, which to me implies SOHCAHTOA and then for the 3D trig, maybe a combination of SOHCAHTOA and Pythagoras, which is also listed.

This is very true! The questions I’m doing for the remainder of the week on 3D trig are purely SOHCAHTOA and Pythagoras based but I wouldn’t rule out anything 😁🙏🏼

Doesn’t the histogram frequency add up to 81 , so you should add 1 to make it 82 then divide by 2 for the 42nd term

As we are only finding an estimate and not trying to calculate an exact median, when we are finding the median from grouped data we can only estimate anyway so it doesn’t need to be over complicated 😁🙏🏼

For the bounds question, shouldn't the upper bound of both distance and time be 487.4km and 180.4 minutes rather than 487.5 and 180.5 because they would round up to 488 and 181.
