That's old deterministic thought..now it's more of share in international trade and economy together with technological control that matters.

I guess you didn't get it : Ghana has world's 7 pecent of Gold Production...still poor...and examples of many more African countries that has huge natural resources but lacks human resource and technology are still poor... Meanwhile countries like Hong Kong, Singapore etc are developed only on economic grounds.

Ghana has bad communications that's why... btw every country has their own set of advantages and disadvantages.... i am not talking about small changes i am talking about the big picture... for example: America and Bangladesh

The big picture is based on technology and trade control...only natural resources based development is old school now.... It's more important to have Human Resources in place for development...it's HDI and allied factors.
