Ive been trying to find a video for tying a fly somewhat like this. So far this is the most helpful ive found thanks for such a helpful video. I want to tie an Atlantic mackerel pattern like this and when im done it will be about 8 inches long. Im hoping the striped bass will love it.

Excellent video - I learned a lot - but where did you buy the eyes that have the attached plastic for attaching - that makes it much more simple and easy to add them. Thanks

Another beauty my friend! 👌 I do have two questions for you purely out of interest: - Is there a reason you don’t use wax on your dubbing loops? Maybe because the material doesn’t slip? - What is the tool you use to attach to the dubbing loop once you start making the wrappings? I couldn’t find it in the description Thank you! 🙏

Thank you so much Dirk ! About your questions: - I never use wax , in tying streamer I am convinced that using wax helps you to hold the materials but it complicates you a lot when you go to spin the loop, the fibers stick and everything becomes more complicated ... I hate wax! if you get used to not using it you will have more advantages than disadvantages! ( personal opinion) - It’s a hackle pliers ( Stonfo )

Why do you waste so much thread wrapping the hook shank?
