Great video. I love my Solar shower. So easy, it's amazing how hot it gets. It's a must have anytime I go camping. Extra bonus cheers for your cute black and white kitty. We have a tuxxedo cat as well.

To fix you solar shower support tube ( I want to call it strut though I know that is the wrong term, but such a cool sounding one )try using the clear gorilla tape. Be warned though, I used it to put plastic up on my north bedroom window. It took the 4 layers of primer and paint along with the dry wall paper when it was time to take it down. The only other thing I can suggest is, after the bag has been heating, place it in a modified mesh laundry sack. With a bit of cutting, sewing, and support rod sleeve made into the sack, your solar shower bag should last for years. The mesh laundry sack should also protect it from abrasions.

Perhaps use some rope and make a sling (supported from the bottom), like a harness/basket of sorts?

He never mentioned how many time he used it in those 7 years. If he only uses it 1 time a year and always stores it in a good place, it will last 50 years.

I have the same solar shower and LIKE it, not love it. I dislike the shower head off/on thingy as it seems to get "stuck" and requires a hard smash to shut it off which is annoying AND TAKES TWO HANDS. It also requires you to kind of waste a little water on your hand when you shut it off. I also don't like the long hose. I'm trying to replicate a REAL SHOWER, like at home, so I want the shower head UP HIGH. Which brings me to my question: Have you ever thought about taking that 2.5 gallon water thingy with the white flip on/off thing and just putting that on top of your truck? Attach a SHORT hose with shower head and you have an easy on/off with one hand AND it sits higher thus you can get under it easier than most solar showers which I find have WAY too long of hose. Thanks!

Dawn dish soap. If you don’t plan on using for any other secondary purpose you could try a small 2 drops of bleach but don’t mix with soap, add a ton of water, shake, rinse. Then dawn wash

My recommendation to repair the bag is to trash it. no sense in wasting your time repairing just get a new for $10-20. you have 7 seven years of use and time to retire it.
