I watched this series, and pieces of it several times to try and figure out why Emir allows himself to be persuaded by Hande. He knows that the reason why Hande is rude to Feriha and paint Feriha in a bad light is because Hande wants to be with him. Yet he allows Hande to direct where the group goes, what they do for parties etc. Yes, tradition plays a role, but when tradition hurts your beloved, then Emir should put a stop to it. I realise that Feriha also values her tradition of respecting parents, being kind and helpful to those in need, paying the family debts, and not dating without redlines, getting parents permission to marry etc. But Feriha was flexible right from the beginning in order to have Emir in her life. She held onto her own redlines and payed her dues ( in the beatings she received) for stepping over the traditional redlines. She was even prepared to step over her own redlines to satisfy Emir’s demands, although she knew that when she does so, she will never accept him as her a husband. She doesn’t want a husband who expects her to cross her own redlines. Yes, she did lie to him. In that she crossed her own redline too. Therefore she always expected that they would at time get to a stage where they have to split up. She didn’t expect that she and Emir has a long term future together. She just enjoyed being close to him while she could.

Emir was on top of this series. Handsome, understanding and patient. Feriha is very beautiful, naive and a lier. She lied all through her relationship with Emir. She became a captive of her lies.

18 yr old girl who was captivated by this handsome boy's attention and affection like a prince charming like an impossible dream coming true however brief. I don't blame Feriha I sympathize with her. Love her.innocent and knives she had nobody to guide her.

Koray’s comment that humans don’t value the things that they have, and value the things that are out of their reach applies to both Koray and Hande, but also to Feriha. At this stage in the story it appears that Emir can have whatever he wants. When emir gets what he wants, (when Feriha is his wife), Emir valued her company and her views far less than he valued his own need to beat his father at business, and also to take revenge on Yavuz. Yavuz wanted his girlfriend out of Emir’s reach, something that Feriha wanted too, but Emir valued his own wants above Feriha’s concerns for their safety, and the security of their marriage. Once Emir had married Feriha, his priority was not to nurture that marriage. His priority was something that he could not have. He wanted both his marriage to Feriha, and having his ex as his colleague, and to show his father that he can be a successful business person too. That was an impossible ask, given that Emir was a bad communicator, had a past filled with women who put severe strain on his marriage, had family who insisted on trying to break up his marriage, all on top of his own ego soothing needs.

1:39:45 Emir slams the car steering wheel in frustration because his attempt to get Feriha back into his life failed. Later on in the series we see Emir doing the same action. He slams the apartment elevator in frustration. Why? Which mission of Emir failed then? Gunesh just thanked him for using a pack of lies to ruin her womanhood, to take revenge on her beloved brother. Emir is frustrated because he understands that his mission failed. Emir thinks that his vile act liberated Gunesh from saving herself for one man and she is happy that it allows her to be free with men. He also realised that he didn’t understand Gunesh’s way of thinking. And that is why his mission failed. Just like he didn’t understand Feriha, that is why his marriage to Feriha failed. He needed to know Gunesh to get Gunesh to do what he wants.
