Emir lost his confidence in himself, and Feriha fought for her self respect. The hate caused them great uncertainty and unhappiness. Through it all, their love endured. That love managed to convince both families that they belong together. They were married for less than a minute, when hate and revenge killed Feriha. 3 months later, revenge killed Emir’s father. 20 days later, Emir destroyed his own life by taking revenge on his primary enemy. Losing control of his life is what Emir does when Feriha is not with him. Will Emir rise again from the ashes of hatred and revenge that drowned his and Feriha’s lives, but failed to drown their love? Will Emir draw on that love, and the traces of Feriha’s life left behind, to rise from the ashes, both in spirit, and materially? If so, how does that happen?
