Let me know, have you tired a wet set yet? How often do you wash and set your hair?

I knew the wetter the set the better the curl but I didn't know why. Now I do! Thank you!

I try and wash once a week ( I've just cut bangs so I'm trying to figure out how to extend the need to wash them ) I use 1 inch foam rollers wound on the tight side (gives me the fluffyness I like and helps my curl resistant hair keep curl) And do it on lightly towel dry hair (takes from 4pm to 9 am to probably be dry) I've recently been getting good results putting my hair in a sleeping bonnet every other night (i can do two nights if i want to risk needing to do an updo😅) but otherwise I dry roll it at night so it doesn't straighten while I sleep

I do only double wash once or twice a month to preserve my colored hair😅 but will brush my hair/scalp for a good 15 minutes a day

Finally someone talks about cleaning sponges and hair products! And double washing your hair! This is so important! I'd add couple of things to your video: - Brush you hair before washing, applying a conditioner is going to be way easier and safer - Your apple cider rinse actually works for hard water! - If you have issues with your scalp "wet" set is really a bad idea, leaving your hair wet makes a great environment for bacteria. If you really want to keep it wet, try and blow dry you scalp

Love your video. Thank you so much. I have curly hair and always wondered how to do a wet set and brush out on it. So your video and so great! Quick question: How do you maintain the wet set throughout the week?
@TheGlambassador
@TheGlambassador 9 ай бұрын
You are so welcome! I’m glad it was helpful for you. I don’t do a lot during the week, I just sleep with a silk bonnet at night to help cut down on frizz. I did a “Life Cycle of my Wet Set” series showing how my set evolves during the week and what hairstyle I do each day for my set, that should give you a good idea of how it changes throughout the week.

This was fab! I had no idea about the shampoo and conditioner use would be better the way you discussed. But I wash my hair in the shower. A cold rinse isn’t not going to happen…lol. I hate cold water on my body. That said, I will try a cooler water for the last rinse! Thanks a lot! I love your videos!

So happy I found your channel! 😊I have naturally curly hair and never thought I could do hairstyles like this. You mentioned brushing out the hair regularly, do you also recommend that for us curly hair people??
@TheGlambassador
@TheGlambassador 9 ай бұрын
If you are altering the curl pattern by setting your hair, regular brushing is great and recommended. This helps to distribute the natural oils and keep the curls/waves nice and bouncy. If you are wearing your natural curls, regular brushing is not recommended. Brushing natural curls will result in frizz and can create breakage. I hope that helps!

Hello, I just began watching with love, Kristina videos because I love things from this period. She recommended watching your hair videos if you have curly hair which I do. I recall and love seeing clothing, home items, especially kitchen things etc from the past. My Aunt Gloria met every Friday with three of my other aunts and one friend, each bringing something for lunch in the mountains near Yosemite. After lunch she would put everyone’s hair up in pin curls. They enjoyed that time together for years. I use a blow dryer and electric curlers to tame my curls. But I am very interested it trying your methods. My hair frizzes easily in humid weather so badly that I put on a hat. But I think it may look better on humid days with your styles and tips. I think some of my natural curl direction may work well for the fringe. So you have given me hope that I may not need a hat always. I just subscribed and will watch many more of your videos. Thank you so very much!

Thanks for this video. It was so helpful and I appreciated your explaining the rationale for repeating the shampooing. I always thought that was a ploy to sell more shampoo. I will definitely try this!

You definitely should be washing your sponge rollers. Not only will it keep them clean for your scalp and hair health, it helps them keep their shape longer.
