OMG! FAVORITE FOUNDATION RE-FORMULATED?! 😩 Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation *NEW vs. OLD*

I've been using this foundation for several years now and I love it. I haven't noticed any change in how it applies and wears, and I have seriously oily skin. I feel like the coverage is still the same, it doesn't oxidize, etc. I've always set it with Rimmel Stay Matte powder and I do still get a bit shiny part way through my work day, but the foundation never separates. Niacinamide is very good for your skin, so should actually help clear up any acne you might have. I wash my face religiously because I am acne prone, and this foundation has never broken me out.

I’m glad the new one performs like the old one did! Nothing worse than having the company change up your favorite product or discontinue it altogether. It looks beautiful on your skin 😊I also use the No7 concealer and I love it! I have really fair skin, but I was able to find my shade and it sits very well on my mature 50 yr old skin. Let alone, it doesn’t. The old formula was my favorite foundation for 6 years, went through so many bottles of it. Then I normally repurchased, it looked cakey and weird when I first put it on my face, thought maybe my skin is not having the best day and brushed it off. After a week it still not looking good I took the old bottle and tried to get some out of it, applied it to my face and it looked amazing!! I didn’t even know it was reformulated. So yes, it is different and they ruined it. Now I don’t know what do to.

Ashley, I had similar acne when I was about 19 years old. It turned out I was allergic to my hairspray. The dermatologist gave me radiation treatments, and that didn't help at all but it did help to dissolve my neck vertebrae!!! The thing that helped me and cured it was Merle Norman "miracol" mask. Now it burned like fire the first few times I used it and you had to leave it on for 20 minutes, but once your skin gets used to it, it doesn't burn at all. I used it every night and you have to use their original make up base afterward and sleep with it on but it's not damaging to your skin. It healed my face in just a couple of weeks and there aren't even any scars. I'm now almost 80. I suspect it's some hair product you are using that is causing this. Change your pillowcase every single night and that helps also in the beginning.

Thank you for this comparation! I am 43,with rozacea, and old formula was the only foundation i loved. Now this was my dilema too,you helped mi soo much. Greetings from Serbia, and respect for your honesty. I must say,just get the new one,it is not unscented, it is absolutely the same smell.

Hey!! Not sure if you noticed it or not, but apparently the new formula is unscented, which is fantastic because that's the only reason I don't use this foundation. I actually love this foundation but the scent is way too much for me and tends to break me out a little bit. Did you notice that at all?

Fragrance can be irritating and sensitizing. Aside from the sensory experience, there's no need for it on our face.

I’m glad it worked for you, but I’ve tried the new formula twice and I have never had my skin look worse. I don’t have any texture or acne, but I do have melasma, and this made me see every single pore. Pore I didn’t know I had on my face. Not to be dramatic but I almost cried. It’s been my favorite foundation ever since I can remember. The only one I wore because of the lightweight feel, and like you say, skin like finish. I wish we could attach pics here so I could show the difference on how it wore on my skin compared to the old formula.

I hate that for you. It sucks so bad when your favorite product gets reformulated (for literally no solid, good reason), and you're left with crap. Luckily, it works the same for me (even though I can't wear it without thinking about the change and if I'll, one day, notice a difference in performance), but I have heard a couple of people in my comments say they see a difference too.

I agree about the "new one." The formulation is thinner--it must be built upon in order to be a full-coverage.

I’ve never tried to concealer because I’ve never been able to find it, but I love using the foundation as a concealer! I get one in my actual shade and one that is a shade lighter to use as concealer. It looks so much nicer than so many concealers I’ve tried and lasts so well!

I agree with you 100% with foundation putting in skin care/SPF, in reality you aren't going to lather your face with foundation like you would with SPF/skin care, totally gimmicky! Glad that it didn't change and happy you were having a wonderful night,drinky drinky LOL!

I hate the new formula, it does oxidize, and separates through out the day, unlike the older formula which could resist sweaty and oily skin 😭 It was my favorite foundation.

I personally loved the old formula and wore it lots. They have two perfect shades for me too. One that fits in winter and another one for summer (I mixed both in between). I had bought it again later and wondered why I suddenly got irritations and major redness after wearing it. My skin doesn't tolerate niacinamide at all and I didn't read the label before re-purchasing it. That makes it useless for me now. And ever since they started adding niacinamide to so many foundations, a lot of them will NEVER end up in my collection. So... sorry to all the brands, but that's not a great move for anyone who has problem with active ingredients. I do think foundations should have a very simple formula so that we can actually choose from ALL of them and just wear the skincare we CAN tolerate. Just my humble opinion though...

It's funny you mention that, because I also have always felt like I get irritation from using niacinamide. Everyone always says "niacinamide isn't irritating, it's for everyone." But every brand tries to include it in their formula now, and I've been wondering if that has something to do with my constant breakouts. I don't know... but I definitely think they should leave the skincare ingredients for the skincare products and keep it out of makeup, for the most part.

Same here :) and I hate the new formula. It’s horrible. The old one looked great on my skin even after 12 hours of wear, the new one looks cakey from the beginning and separates after an hour of wear!!! It was my favorite foundation for 6 years.
