Personally I wouldn’t get the elite strap, there are many people who use them for only a year and it snaps. Instead I bought the kiwi elite strap a lot more comfortable

I just got one for Christmas and haven't set up yet. I'm confused when I hear that some people just take their glasses off to play. How can you see what's on the screen? I would prefer to not wear my glasses so I'm curious.

If you wear glasses, the experience will be much better leaving them on. A small plastic spacer is included in the box that extends the headset for fitting glasses. They do make prescription lens covers that I have reviewed on my channel. Hope this helps.

Followed you instructions for setup. After setting up the safety border I get this screen. Device setup complete. To view your home environment and universal menu, click the Oculus button now. You can click the Oculus button to exit apps and return to the universal menu anytime. Click the Oculus button. When I follow these instructions nothing happens. I am not transported to the main menu as your video suggests. The only button that does anything is the"B" button that only takes me back one screen. I have tried resetting the factory settings and going through the setup again but end up at the same screen and cannot move on. Any thoughts?

I ordered a cheap vr off Amazon just to see if I could handle motion sickness and it made me dizzy do you think it would be the same with the Oculus

I think the Oculus Quest 2 would be a better option because of the 90hz refresh rate reducing motion sickness. I'm guessing the cheaper headset was also lacking the 6 Degrees of motion offered by Quest? Being able to move around in real-time is another area that reduces motion sickness. My wife gets really bad motion sickness and she is fine playing on the Quest. If you have a friend that owns a Quest, I would test it out before making the investment. Hope this helps a little.

One thing much people don’t notice due to small guardian boundaries is you can actually interact with objects in your oculus home

Yeah, it would be nice if they added a “teleport” feature to the Quest 2, where you can just point at a spot on the floor of your Oculus Home, and it’ll move the entire virtual home to that spot while keeping your physical Guardian boundary locked in place. This way, you can have a small Guardian, but can also freely move around your Oculus Hone, without the constraints of reality stopping you.

The carry case keeps everything snug and in position so that nothing moves around or gets scratched. You want to be careful with the lenses.

90hz is based on the frames visible per second. A greater amount of frames equals a smoother more comfortable experience. I'm not sure what you mean by delete games.

@@thegreatgambino I was debating if I should sub to your channel or not but the fact you actually replied made that a no brainer. Man, my expectations were so high, I honestly started to think I better hold back so I dont face disappointment. But no, its ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I get motion sickness fairly easy & expected it to be more of a problem than it was. I took it off for a break because I felt it coming but I dont see it being a major problem for me. Honestly I wish I recorded myself doing the set up. Just something as simple as being able to pick up & throw a paper airplane left me going this is bada$$ (I probably said that no less than 50 times in the 40 minutes or so I actually had it on. The fact it was so easy to set up & how sweet it is, I probably would have paid double & still been perfectly fine with it. I'm a hardcore introvert so I imagine what I'm going to enjoy most is just being able to immerse myself in an environment without having to give a damn how I'm coming across to others. I mean I was busting some serious moves dancing with that lanky thing lol & had a blast doing so. Hopefully letting loose in vr will help me feel more comfortable doing so in the real world & that it doesn't become something I turn to solely as a way to escape. I dont want to give tmi for the other thing I think I'll enjoy most, so lets just say I'm single & am looking forward to the videos I'll hopefully be able to watch on this bad boy.

@@danp1471 I’m an introvert as well, actually, so I feel your pain, man. That’s one of the reasons I like VR, too. Ever since my high school Phys Ed. teacher brought in his original Oculus Quest and let me give it a try, I’ve been wanting a VR headset of my own. And it looks like this Christmas will be when that dream finally comes true! My dad bought me a Quest 2 for Christmas this year, and it arrives today, so I’ll at least be able to take a look at the box later on. But dad requested that I wait until Christmas to actually open it up, so I’ll wait on that part. I had an Oculus Go (and still do, but it’s in my closet now), but then Oculus decided to discontinue it _literally a month later._ The Quest 2, on the other hand, should last for years to come, so I’m quite excited! And when you were talking about the dance moves, you were referring to First Steps, right? Because (thanks again to my PE teacher), I have firsthand experience with that one, and it’s so much fun! I liked the shooting game more, as that reminded me of the first real VR game I’d ever played, which was Space Pirate Trainer (also during PE). So I had a lot of fun with VR in high school, and now, about two years later, I’m finally getting a headset of my own! And about that last part of your comment…I’m also single (and also a guy), so I know very well what you’re talking about.

Things are never going to look as crystal clear in vr as they do on the screen. It has to do with resolution and the fact that vr zooms into pixels with the lenses. If it's really blurry to the point of being unplayable, I would check the physical ipd distance between lenses.

Hello Khara, you can use it with a pc that is capable of running virtual reality. Basically you would use a Link wired cable or connect wireless with one of the stream options. In addition, you can play the quest stand-alone games that will not require a pc. Quest offers the best of both worlds. Hope this helps.✌🏽😎

Most cost money but some are free. If you download the oculus app you can browse the free section. Some of the free titles are pretty great.

I bought the larger size just because I record gameplays. Other than that, I would have probably taken the smaller one. In addition to the games you are trying, I would also check out Beatsaber, Population: One, Onward and Rec Room.

I just got mine but it won't pair up with my old Samsung J3 no matter how many time I reset everything, so as the screen is smashed I'm waiting for an Apple iphone 12 pro (ios14) 2020. that should sort the problem out. It will seem more stable for you in the headset because the environment is fixed and you are moving within it. The camera shake you are noticing is because the entire video recording moves in sync with my small or large head movements. With that said, there are movement comfort features in most games to help prevent motion sickness.
