Start with Jesus and ends our SALVATION is through believing in Jesus Christ finished work on the cross, Accepting Christ as Lord of your life is the beginning of life with Christ. When you know Jesus Christ, you don't need to seek God by means of other religions. Christ alone holds the answers to the true meaning of life because Christ is life. He is the unique source of knowledges and power for the Christians life. No Christians needs anything in addition to what he has provided to be saved. ( Colossians 2 ) We can enjoy our new life in Christ because we have joined him in his death and resurrection. AMEN thank you my beloved Dr. Andrew I love you in the Lord! ( A.S.V. Tingley)

It is not age of a belief that makes it true, It’s all about wether its in the Word of God and wether it stands up to the test of the gospel truth. That’s what matters. -Andrew Farley

Jesus didn't promulgate "secret doctrines" as did the various mystery cults that existed in His day. His teachings were plain and his parables were well-understood, especially following Pentecost. Thus it would be quite odd indeed if some major tenet of Christ's teachings remained undiscovered until the 16th Century or later.

The continuing message week after week is God's done all He is going to do, Christ in us. So once again what is the need for prayer?

Andrew suggests that if WE have appropriated truth for ourselves, "Here's an idea. Prayer that others come to that same truth". (Paraphrased from another Andrew message).

Prayer is to talk to God, to get things off of your chest. It's not just for asking for things. It's a gift for you, not for Him.
@christinaschuler
@christinaschuler 4 жыл бұрын
its talking to God. Like any conversation it gets so much better when you start listening before talking ;-) If it's about relationship with God, how should that look like without communication? You're just missing out if you stop the talk with getting what u need. Also some have Christ in them but no access to themselves...no clue who they truly are. that could be a starter: you can ask God "would you show me who I am in Christ and who is Christ in me?"
@melissachandler4422

Prayer is conversation with God. It would be pretty one sided if only one communicated.

The way we do church today is the tradition of man.. never was there a one man show! A pastor is just an overseer. Church was a gathering everyone took part and never doing sermons with the one guy every week doing it all! That’s why people have placed them way up there!!

I disagree with his interpretation of Colossians 2. The enemies that Christ overcame is speaking of the spiritual realm and the forces of and the power of sin. Not physical human beings.

If you don't believe Tanakh is the inerrant word of God, why do you continue to publish Bibles with it prefacing your New Testament? Farley says Messiah is a god. Scripture says the opposite. That's why they don't want you to read it or understand it. You practice eisegesis instead of exegesis.

Good teaching here but the snarky tone with which he speaks of other Christians that don't line up with his teaching is not serving him well. This is a typical trademark from the Reformed camp. I don't know if this guy is a full calvinist but his attitude seems to point in that direction.

What about He who said "if anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me." This gentleman seems to be all justification with no sanctification.
@94nolo
@94nolo 6 жыл бұрын
Jesus picked up your cross. It is your job to "reckon yourself (ALREADY) dead." If you have recieved Christ you are already a new creation. Sanctification happens when your mind is renewed to the truth about what you have already become. You are a new creation, I promise. But you may just not realize that Deny yourself means to die your self efforts to save yourself and be holy. Righteousness is a free gift.
@c.m.granger6870
@c.m.granger6870 6 жыл бұрын
@@94nolo no, it doesn't, the spirit wars with the flesh. Denying yourself means denying yourself. And I say that understanding Christ has done it all with regard to my salvation and every Christian's salvation. This is nothing more than Scripture twisting and confusing salvation with sanctification. The preacher in this video is unsound, you should steer clear of him.

@@roberthesseling4253 yes, I listened to the message, and yes, God has removed my heart of stone and replaced it with a heart of flesh--just as He has done with all of His people. What's your point?
@francoisroux1177
@francoisroux1177 6 жыл бұрын
@@roberthesseling4253 Some people just want to feel they need to do something. Apparently Jesus didn't do enough. Let's pray that the Holy Spirit will reveal this to them. I believe God made me holy through the works of Jesus. The more I renew my mind to who Jesus made me the more I will walk in that new life. I'm not trying to become holy through what I do but I want to live holy cause that's who I am in Christ. Denying myself is more about focusing on someone else like Jesus. The more I see Him for who he is the more I will be transformed into His Image (1 Joh 3:2)

@Followerofchrist 247 how did the disciples learn of a slogan invented by 20th Century American bapticostals?
@williamjameslehy1341
@williamjameslehy1341 4 жыл бұрын
@@Harpazo_to_Yeshua "accept Jesus into your heart" is another modern Protestant slogan, popularly associated with the thoroughly unbiblical and ahistorical "Sinner's Prayer" which originated in the early 20th Century. You people must think that Jesus was an absolutely rubbish communicator if it took nearly two millennia for anyone to figure out what he actually meant.
@williamjameslehy1341
@williamjameslehy1341 4 жыл бұрын
You follow a religion made up by men within the last 500 years, with major doctrines like the rapture, dispensationalism, and being "born again" independent of the sacrament of baptism being considerably more recent than that. You have nothing of value to impart to a true Christian with a firm rooting in scripture, patristics and Church history.
@Christian-qs3pi
@Christian-qs3pi 3 жыл бұрын
@@williamjameslehy1341 Do you not feel a hypocrite ? I ask as you are mocking Christians on here for using modernisms etc,, when your own Catholic Church has added countless modernisms, things that were not used in Jesus,s day eg Rosaries (supposed Mary appearance in 13 Century, and 20 the century telling people to use rosary everyday.)…One of the components of the Catholic veneration of Mary is the focus on her participation in the processes of salvation and redemption… REALLY William, ? If she was so important to our salvation, why NO mention in GODS the Bible? The Bible editors had documents relating to Mary when collating the Bible, incl the records of Mary being venerated in the third century. YET you catholics lied, when you said that document manuscript known as P-470 in the Rylands Library in Manchester. It is accurate that this manuscript has been dated to the third century. However, a Mr Taylor Marshall gives the false impression that this manuscript has the expression “Mother of God.” This is deceitful. It actually says God-bearer. The word Mother is not even in the prayer. YET nothing about her supposed participation of our Salvation… NEXT the wearing of a brown scapula for salvation (Supposed Mary appearance in 13 Century) . AGAIN, nothing about this wearing of scapula for salvation in early Christianity, nor in scriptures, church fathers. So William you are in NO position to mock,attack Christians for there sayings at all. The Catholic Church is full of these modernisms, add ons for salvation etc.
