Very new to all of this (Torah, Sabbath keeping, etc...) and I hope you don't mind my commenting. I believe, as taught by others, that the "this kind" that Yeshua was talking about was the faithlessness, the unbelief that the disciples were experiencing at that moment. Since they were already laying hands on the sick and seeing them recover, I believe they were moved to unbelief by the violent visual before them. Prayer and fasting is what I believe this deals with in the believer, it puts it under so you are not moved, ever, by what you are seeing. Shalom brother!

Same with me and I think and believe it is the way to righteousness and loving YHWH. I have been battling in my mind with the way to this enlightenment and now I have found it, answers to a lot of questions about the status quo especially the way we worship Him in Africa.

(HUG) Firmly relying and trusting in GOD, with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength - fasting & prayer is an act of obedience to Jesus, releasing the power of GOD - Pray without ceasing and nothing will be impossible to you.

I think it's great that he goes off the sermon into apologetically relevant extant textual criticism. There's not much biblical literacy anymore.

I think it's pretty important if a verse , especially a teaching on the power of prayer and fasting , especially concerning the demonic is huge. I don't agree with your down playing of the altering of the scriptures . For any new believer , you can't go wrong with the KJV. If one thoroughly does their research on the writer of the NIV, you will understand why she, yes she made the alterations she made. Also, both disciples Mark & Matthew recorded this account , I don't think one "copied" the account of the other as they were there with Yeshua.

Lex, you seem to be more of a feministic preacher in your sermons forgetting that men face more at the homefront, more emotional abuses than women. You have to be careful not to begin to do 2 Tim 4:3 because they are more in your congregation. You just need to hear what some women say to their partners but as men, these words may not be able to be pieced together but it hunts and hurts in the sense at which it was spoken. How many women are virtuous? Proverbs 31 puts so much at the door step of a woman as if the man never existed, no wonder the Godly men of the 1st century were silent about their wives, maybe they were virtuous and the husbands were abke to fight the good fight of faith. How many women would wake up first and sleep last? Nowadays, they are even complaining that they do not have tea on bed like their friends... I would implore you to preach the word and not put blame all the time on one unit of the body of Christ 3 John 1:8. Our goal as a team is to emulate God's example. As team players, we should aspire to be more like God, so we can inspire others to seek the truth and love. This expands the ranks of teamwork throughout all human beings and the world we live in. 1 Corinthians 12:14... May the Lord put it in your heart to always say the truth... Shalom!
