That’s one way to look at it. Go watch the video of the rimac hill climb where he crashes. From the start he looks terrified behind the wheel. So he knew the car was too much for him and his driving skills. Yet he still chose to push it. It was selfish on his part. Glad he’s okayc but Guaranteed if it was his car he wouldn’t have pushed it.

Looks and performance! It's not all about the straight line. This thing hugs the turns like no other electric car. The idea of swappable batteries is ideal for a race track-specific EV. You'll have your batteries swapped out in the time it takes them to change out the tires. Meanwhile, the competition is plugged in waiting 15+ minutes for their batteries to recharge. Now if I only had a few hundred million lying around I could finally fit into an RC car that I've been dreaming of doing since I was little.

I cannot believe more electronic devices with rechargeable batteries don't allow standardized size batteries with swap capability. Cell phones being a big and major example of this simple technology to save people's time. We used to have double a triple a c and d batteries that were somewhat standard in all electronics. But for cell phones, every model even within the same manufacturer requires its own specific battery. And many of them don't even want you to take it out easily and solder it shut inside the case.

The pace at which these EV hypercars are progressing is mind bending. We went from 600 to 800, then 1000, 1300 and now 1900+ HP with the Rimac! This is a small sliver of time where there's still competition between EV & ICE. Given another decade, EV will be truly in a different galaxy.

the limiting factor is not tech but our own evolution, our eyes, hands, reflexes, etc just haven't kept up to the advances, thats why cellphones all look the same now, not like we have extra fingers or hands to take advantage of anything more innovative they can do, eventually the cars will be too fast for us to control, so either give the control to the AI or limit the car to a point where we can safely control it. (F OFF) + the fact he is looking at the camera talking (not the road) when movin at hyper-warp speed. +Nurberg footage is real (because he is not driving)>" +note you never see him in the car driving like top gear would show. +The fact it's fake footage is all covered up with fake camera shakes and editing to distract from the fact its fake. +You can also tell from the lighting outside the car compared to inside the car. +1.44 looks ridiculously fake .. steering wheel and hands have been blurred to match the fake 3d simulation footage outside,. Given that this is a track only car it's actually a good system. This will let you swap out a pair of batteries and continue around the track while the other set charges. Given that it comes with it's own pit crew, i'd say that's a pretty good approach rather than having to wait between charge ups.

I’m compelled to confess that I screamed and shouted and laughed out loud, for the duration of this clip. Not only did I learn much more about the car, it’s the first time I’ve seen this much of it, the first I’ve seen the interior, and best of all, the first I’ve seen one driven. I have recently become rather obsessed with the EP9 and fascinated with NIO. In my efforts to establish a career in the automotive industry, one day I happened to begin drawing a car. A few weeks later, the illustrations from the project were seen by senior execs, designers, engineers, etc, and ultimately, I was encouraged to partner with existing automakers to launch a new startup. That conversation shifted my focus, from applying for jobs, to building an advisory panel, board of trustees, and moving forward, with pitching a partnership deal, to establish Automobili DaVinci. I will soon travel to China to meet with executives at NIO and see this car firsthand. I have never been more excited. Along the way, I connected with designers and senior execs at NIO, and they have been extremely supportive and encouraging.

@@prime3482 I read they could be charged in car.. or so I thought. "While details are still a little hazy, it’s claimed the batteries can be charged in 45 minutes. Alternatively they can also be swapped in eight minutes once the 265-mile electric range is up. The EP9 was built in Britain with a UK partner, although at this stage NIO is unwilling to reveal exactly who." From Autoexpress. Wiki says they can't be charged in car so I assume Wiki is correct? My English can be patchy, however it was exactly his statement that I was disputing.
