I’m happy to see some love given to Vampire Coast. It’s my favorite faction, but because the whole community sees it as a “pretty average and well-balanced faction” there’s basically hardly anyone asking for more things for them.

People are for improvements! Casualty replenishment at sea, and Capital ships being able to siege port settlements like Black Arks can. That alone would lift the faction tremendously.

I mean even before the changes coming I loved my count noctilus campaign it’s the only vampire coast faction I really enjoy but hay slaughtering lizard men and Luther are the high points of that campaign

Vamp Coast is one of my favorite factions, with SFO they are more fleshed out! I'm just hoping we'd get a Nano's submod for Sartosa as I love the whole human army as an option.

What I'm waiting to see with SFO as a whole is how the economy game is for most of these factions. The bits I've played with, I've also felt extremely poor outside of factions that either don't have upkeep or have good sack/loot income.

I wished they added some new mounts for the vampire coast. Like why does every one ride the stupid crab! I think at least the legendary admirals have different mount opts. Like The pistol sword one can ride a dragon kinda like Luther. This would help out with differentiate between my lords on the map. Plus since this faction cant confederate, if I want to be count nock. I can still have access to a lord on a dragon for snipping things and have a different play stile.

No matter how much I love the dread fleet I can never get into the pirates. I really wish he had his other pirate lords as fleet captains, The Undead Skaven, Vargist, The Tomb King and The Dwarf

Looks good to me. Only thing I would ask if its possible, is that they make Sartosa harder to access by land and sea for non-pirate factions. The whole being surrounded by hostile factions and easily accessible doesnt really mesh well with the pirate raiding playstyle.

Quick question about Cylostra: If an enemy unit has no ward save, would the -10% ward save make them take 10% extra damage? Or does it only reduce their ward save if a unit has ward save to begin with?

@@phaeron2450 For me, the Lizardmen are already close to perfect. SFO just fleshes them out way better. Tomb Kings could use a little more fleshing out too, and perhaps a bit more on the roster side... But aside from that? Both are amazing. The 27th I'll be having some FUN.

About Vampire Coast. Pirate Coves, or whatever they're called when you establish something similar to an undercity in a settlement with a port need a complete rework. As of now I think money making building for it are brocken, at least one that gives 50% of a settlement income to you instead giving a complete 0, at least UI says as much and after some test I think it's true. The vampire corruption building is still useless, since Vampire Coast doesn't really need Vampire corruption, that leaves only two useful buildings out of 4, the one that gives you capacity for mournghuls and Gunnery Wights and one that give 200 gold income and boost to research. Treasure Maps need rebalancing too, since it's too little money for too much work. In fact you only do them 2-3 times, if not even 1 that is near you and forget about them. Everything else, except for Sartosa ( Sartosa desperately needs a rework in a flavor of Dogs of War with living units, common it's Reynald's favourite city ) is good, especially after they gave regen to Depth Guard

@@oniuserjh not for Vampire Coast. As it is right now corruption is just free public order penalty/bonus. At this is absolutely not important if you're not painting map. It's even more not important for something like Pirate Coves, since AI will most probably just outcheat a really minor vampire corruption.

@@oniuserjh for some reason, they completely removed negative public order in settlements without corruption it only goes from 0 to 10, its pretty much impossible to get a rebellion now

Really enjoy all these vides. I did want to point out that I don't think people dislike Clyostra because she's not canon... I think it's more the fact that CA had a golden opportunity to create something actually cool with loads of interesting source material to work with. Seemed like most people were pretty positive with the idea prior to her reveal, with a lot of predictions floating around, until they actually saw the character. This was their first foray into as much creative freedom as you could have in an existing IP and I don't think they could have created a worse character if they tried. If they were going to make her a morbidly obese and basic looking ghost they could have at least not made her obnoxious. Canon or no, if I lined up all 4 characters and asked someone to choose and they chose Clyostra, I would assume that person was lying to me.

If Sartatorsa ever gets a DLC they need to get Aranessa there. I mean she hates the undead! She should never be leading a vampire faction in any way. And I do want my living pirate faction :)

Venris, PLZ tell me why you deleted sartosan pirate mercenaries they are the most useful and funny unit for Aranessa back in sfo II i do not find any reson for you to do this sartosa militia absolutely CAN'T play as the same role and enough strengh as them i can even tell you i would rather take the more loreful & fun pirate mercenaries than ogre mercenaries and now the missile bonus for sartosan can only appeared useful on carnade in mid to late game even back the pirate mercenaries are contraposition of boarding crew and that was perfect, i can feel i'm really playing LIVING men and SARTOSAN pirates, not some stupid norscan truly dissapointed about this, truly if they don't added back i don't even know why i play this non vampire nor sartosan chimera-like faction at all

I think CA should rework Vampire Coast factions to become Pirate factions. Cylostra and Aranessa are not really vampires. Luthor Harkon and Noctilus will have some unique mechanic and unit roster like Arkhan

Bloated with 'mechanics' again. What's the point of having tech cost infamy when you can just buy it. Also locking buildings and skills to be mutually exclusive is not giving you more freedom lol.
