As a green witch myself, I can honestly say that 95% of everything in my practice came from thrift stores and garage sales. I don't usually use burned candles, but I will grab them and use the wax in a wax burner, just adding herbs and oils as I go.

Been wanting to tell you..... your beautiful little green leafy long armed plant is a peperomia hoffmanii. And the little funny looking "tails" are it's flowers. They only flower when they are happy. 😘

I am a crafter in my every day life, and in my practice. I always find cloth, threads, ribbons, charms, things to take apart and add to other things, and inspiration when visiting thrift stores.

As a fellow green witch, I also enthusiastically recommend 2nd hand! I once got a pure beeswax pillar candle that was carved with leaves! Also you can never have enough jars 😂

Great tips! Also crystal decanters for making moon water. Embroidery hoops, thread, fabric for sewing sigils onto spell bags. Old velvet curtains for making tarot bags. Saris! Beads for making wind chimes, goddess rosaries, etc. I've even found statues of Lakshmi, African fertility goddess, prehistoric bird goddess. And wicker baskets galore!

Thank you for the fantastic video. I usually get a lot of my seasonal decor from the thrift store it is so much cheaper than a crafts store and I never know what i'm going to come away with.

I do love thrift stores (called op-shops here) but they are so expensive so much so that they force people to buy new. There is no item in them cheaper than brand new sadly and it's pretty standard for items to cost 2.5x than a new product. Op shops here often are used to 'dump' on rather than taking to the tip which is expensive. So they have to spend a lot on going to the tip themselves. They used to be for people in need but sadly there was/is a trend for vintage clothes and items so most of the collection orgs here are for profit businesses. I love them, but here, they are way too expensive.

I have noticed that anyone who practices the craft, regardless of tradition, is 3 parts collector and 1 part hoarder. And what is it about empty containers that we just can't get enough of? Blessings.

🌲🍀🐾🦉. . .🤔So, you're saying that a good place to find a Smok'in Hot Green Witch, is at a thrift store or a garage sale? I've been looking in all the wrong places, again😕. Cool🕯holder & snuffer (actually found an awesome silver wolf head candle flame snuffer once, at an antique mall) thrifty "Green" Witch🧝♀️📖, and thanks for the Tip(s)😉🦉🐾🍀🌲!
