Today I melted two solid core copper wire spools and poured some ingots.
Copper is so fun to melt, and always the best to add weight to the stack!
I hope you enjoy watching this one as much as I did making it!

I have zero interest in the hobby. But every time I a see a growing stack video, it’s an insta click. The tunes, the expertise, the variety. Just immaculate. Wish they we had more!

For more compressed bundles. Step 1. After stripping, cut wires to about wingspan lengths. Step 2. Take wire & fold in half multiple times till it's about the length of the width of your palm. Step 3. With pliers or hammer pinch bent points of the wire. Step 4. Repeat steps 1-3 till you have about-face 10 of them. Step 5. Take a Another wire & wrap around folded wire to pack it tight & there's your bundle. Then rinse & repeat. Here's a short to better visualize. kzbin.infoosa80UubaQU?si=LZoFFYATLjaGZPaH

Why not build two little winders, one for the plastic and one for the copper core, and as it moves out of the stripper it'll just wind up? No mess on the floor that way. Just saying.

Why didnt you chuck that dowel in a drill to wind it back up?!?!?!?!?!?
@TheGrowingStack
@TheGrowingStack 2 ай бұрын
I thought about that a few hundred turns in and when I tried the dowel just spun on the inside. I didn’t have it secured to the dowel for that to work, so rather than start over I just continued by hand. 🤦‍♂️🙂
