Also the intense depression, mostly that. Awful sandwich, the single isn't as bad but I swear 90% of fast food breakfast is flaming garbage. Please stop spreading misinformation. Microwaves are not sanitation boxes. They do not kill bacteria. They can be used to cook things to very high temperatures that most bacteria could not survive, but THEY DO NOT KILL BACTERIA ALONE. It is the heat that kills the bacteria, so if you do not heat the food thoroughly it still may not be safe.

That does help sore throats and constipation (although a temporary fix) but it in no way changes your stomach's pH Edit: or I should say no worse for you than any other source of pure fat... Not that that is inherently bad, rather it doesn't provide any particular health benefits other than calories

i know im 4 years late but genuine shout-out to cookbooks like this, because trying to take recipes that have existed for *centuries* that were done on stove-top or oven, and converting them to be made in the microwave genuinely takes a lot of trial and error. imagine how long it must've taken for Marie Smith (and/or any help she had, or recipes she referenced) to make a recipe for pudding that actually became pudding-like in the microwave. Microwaves became common place in the 70s, and plenty of people did a lot of trial and error to figure out how to use this new tech they had for cooking. Microwaves don't require warming, and can heat up food very quick in comparison to a stove. While cooking in the microwave is a concept that has died out due to our personal preferences, the technology behind microwavable foods, and the trial and error behind Microwave Cookbooks is a genuinely impressive feat. "Microwave Cooking for One" is an unironically important piece of food history, as well as other cookbooks of its caliber; so massive hats off to Marie Smith and others like her who took the time to figure out how to make meals in a microwave.
