That item at 12:20 is actually a godsend for me. My hands don't work well anymore due to working in medical for so long, so even opening jars can cause significant pain that lasts for hours. I know a lot of people go "Why are you lazy, just do X thing" A lot of these items are accessibility devices, marketed to 'normal' people because otherwise they would never make it to market.

i gotta say, it really heartens me that the boys seemed to genuinely like the products for their intended purpose, rather than mock them for "who would need this??". like they only made fun when the product actually sucked, but stuff like the apple peeler, melon... cutter?, and the jar opener they were just genuinely amazed by! that was nice!

One thing that a lot of people don't realize is that many 'As Seen on TV' products are actually accessibility devices. The watermelon cutter is perfect for someone who may have issues cutting up a full watermelon due to motor skill or muscle issues. I could see that even working for a lot of people with arthritis. The apple peeler is perfect for someone who can't hold a knife to peel the apples. The handles can be made more accessible with simple solutions like extra padding, and a lot of them can secure well onto the counter for stability. Snuggies are often used with elderly because it allows them freedom while still staying warm, especially since people who are physically weak or dealing with chronic pain may not want to feel tangled in a blanket. (though, I wish the material was nicer as the last Snuggie I used gave me static all the time). The electric jar opener is perfect for anyone with arthritis, chronic pain in their upper limbs, or even people who don't have a lot of physical strength. A lot of goofy products can often be super amazing for people with disabilities or limitations. There are, of course, a lot of products that are truly just gimmicky and meant to please the trendy crowd, but a lot are good for accessibility. 💜

I read it as, "Isn't every morning poop great?" 毎朝 - Every morning プープ - Poopoo 元気 - Can mean healthy, but is often used for "good/great" ですね - roughly translates to "Isn't it" If we take into account Japanese's assumed first person context, it can mean "Every morning, my poop is great, isn't it?" Japanese is a difficult language to translate.

So fun fact, disabilities are what so many of these "as seen on TV" products (ESPECIALLY the Snuggie) are marketed toward. However, there is (or was) a law against making that explicitly clear in the ads because it could possibly count as exploitation of a protected class - or the companies were just ashamed of saying they made things for disabled people, I'm not sure. Either way, it resulted in the ads having to more or less *imply* the target audience rather than state it, which led to all those hilarious moments of people failing basic tasks like sitting down with popcorn or whatever.

Don’t be down on yourself man, you have beautiful teeth. It can be easy to feel that pressure in LA, where there is an abundance of folks with bleached teeth, veneers, etc. It’s just the local culture. Your smile brightens thousands of people’s days, every day. 😁

i just... wow... the japanese text at the end is 毎朝プープ元気ですね which is pronounced mai asa poopoo genki desune. which roughly translates to "I poop every day, i feel great" the more direct translation is "poop every morning feel great right?" i took into account the fact that its Arin we are talking about here so I know from that context he is talking about himself here. I mean, there is a chance that he is saying we should poop every day and we will feel great but there is not enough context and this is my head canon... thank you Arin and the Grumps, I am so glad that I get to make use of my ability to read basic Japanese with you guys.

You can also peel potatoes and sweet potatoes on them, especially for things like mashes potatoes. Any hard fruit/ veg, that is somewhat round and wide enough works pretty well, but apples, pears, potatoes, yams, sweet potatoes, and stuff like that work best!

A lot of products like these are advertised to people with no disabilities, which can make them look superfluous and unnecessary, but they are often designed for people with disabilities to have more independence. They often "have to" market them to general audiences or their ads won't get any attention, but these sorts of products are really good and helpful actually! And selling to people who don't *need* them makes the products cheaper and more easily available for people who do need them
