bit late since you are probably alot further but idk if you know this or partially know it animals dont need hay on their feeding benches (throths?) if theyh are allowed and able to eat outside during the day so if it rains they will stay inside and require hay thats why some days they do eat and some days they dont ^^ so a silo is always usefull (gonna need one for winter anyway ^^) p.s loving the stardew and fallout london playthrough :D
