This is a really cool project... But when are you going to make computer chairs to safely lock you into the chair and floor while in transit? With full motion around the desk, and shock absorption? Now that would be real Sci-Fi. I could see this truck being the base of many videos in the future. Maybe even monitors with shock mounts, or electromagnetic drawers with sensors on the handle to disengage the magnets when you touch them? I feel like you've just reached the tip of the iceberg on the interior (looks beautiful btw). :)

@@hacksmithif you've used shopping carts in countries like Australia and the UK, the way that they 'click in' to travelators/esclatators could be just what you need, obviously a modified version that handles vertical movement from all that bouncing
@AlmightyBeing4 ай бұрын
Maybe overlapping tracks that fit the width of the wheels with a lock mechanism that pulls them together so that when the wheels are in the gaps, closing the lock pinches the wheels and stopping them from moving. Then when stationary, you can completely close the locks (closed pinch) so that there's no gaps and the floor can be rolled around of easily without falling into the rails. To support the pinching in respects to vertical bouncing, adding a lip on the top of the rails that links into the gap in the wheels will stop them from bouncing loose (like a T-rail). Metal wheels would also help with wear and tear on the wheels and usually roll much smoother too.

A Good Idea is to maybe change suspension on the truck so you get less bumpy while riding
@BlueDually4x44 ай бұрын
I'm sure some more tiedowns are in the works. The frames on commercial trucks are standard across weight ratings and brands, so you could swap the rear suspension out for air ride. Which would make for a much smoother ride. There should also be plenty of room between the frame rails and body that you can mount other bulky and heavy things under the floor to keep the inside space freed up. And while it might limit the truck's armored rating, a roof mounted AC system would likely be a very welcomed addition for trips further south. You did stuff a lot of electrical systems in a big steel box.
@Krushx04 ай бұрын
1. make push buttons to open drawers so they closed normally or use a strong magnet to hold it in place. 2. make chairs that has suspension on each leg. 3. replace the chairs wheels to ones that could be locked in a press of button on the chairs. 4. upgrade the track suspension on the wheels. 5. you could use gyros system to hold a platform that holds the 3d printer. 6. use strong magnets or velcro for everything, keyboard, mousepad, laptops, headphone holder, pillows, pdu s, phone holders etc.. 7. do not use arms for the monitor use direct wall mounts that could tilt and swivel that could be tighten with screws or use monitor arms that could be collapsed by it's segmented arm sections and pushed against the wall where there is a press fit holder to click in it or a really strong magnets to fixate it to the wall very closely. 8. modify the mouse's to be holed to the table with an electro magnet that could be turned off and automatically turn on when moving could be tied to gps cordinates or an accelerometer. 8. test how much force needed to fly all the things above including the ceiling mounted lights that hold up by magnets and put reinforce where needed.
@SkylerMay-zu6os4 ай бұрын
The thing about the magnets and Velcro is there only supported up to at least 3200 p s I and the biggest magnet is held up to 30000 tons. I think I'm not very sure you can look it up in your own time, but those 2 options are really the best the best option would be to have someone get a case for the laptop to where you can put screws in the desk and locked the laptop and place with the screws so it doesn't bounce up and down, I would be the lower survival option, but when it comes to everything else, that can't really happen because of what it's made out of, and shit like that now for the chair, the chairs would be good if they wasn't rolling so much, and if they weren't so bouncy, that's why you would putand suspension and shocks set, so it's less bumpy on the road. Your idea is very good, just keep in mind with the amount of p s, I pressure and amount of weight that's something can hold at a time
@Krushx04 ай бұрын
@@SkylerMay-zu6os it looks like you are overestimating the amount of force that things having during the drive and oblivious to the fact that how strong are velcros and magnets. For example the US military use velcros to hold things in places in military vehicles. They have much more shake and force to handle than this track. It will hold plenty enough not even a concern. This is not a Hollywood movie where people try to kill you and need to make a run for over 100 miles. You shouldn't think about cheap stuff like the chinese put on shoes. I bet you could not lift the laptop with one hand if covered completely with heavy-duty velcro, even with two hand you had problems it would not be easy , you have to use your hand as lever between the desk and the laptop and probably the plastic would be give away first because it's brittle proprieties. Screws always the best to hold together something but inconvenient and makes everything ugly due to framing. This a sponsored video probably and having design concerns is also an important point.
