I never thought of improving my handwriting, I thought it was perfect just as it was, because my sister had much worseer handwriting than mine. Than today I saw that my cousin had much beautiful handwriting and it looked like he writing calligraphy so I thought of trying it too

I’m reading the comments here, being like “what?!” Honestly, you don’t need a calligraphy pen to do calligraphy. In my opinion, pencil is easier to use. But it depends on the type of pencil that you like to use. In the video, she shows a standard pencil, which is fine if you like that type and of pencil. But for those who prefer a mechanical pencil, it’s better use that.

Hi Morgan Jackson, HB technically means “Hard and Black”. It is usually used for school. The other pencils, for example 3H and 4B, are used for sketching, shading or drawing. You can use HB for calligraphy. It’s your choice. I hope this short passage will help make things more clear. Warm regards, Jessline

Also you could do monoline regular cursive-style writing and then add the "shading" kinda like fauxiligraphy... it works brilliantly with a pencil!

That is way above my talent. I watched this because i have bad handwriting and this happen to be in my recommended list. It amazed me that people can do this. I want you to know that I've been playing at calligraphy for many many years. I've even addressed wedding invites. But this video and the following one has finally pulled everything together for me. When I was in 3rd grade I really wanted to improve my hand writing but before trying to improve my writing it was rly good I got many certificates in calligraphy competitions but after I tried to copy one of my frmds hand writing it just was not comfortable but I stuck to it she wrote try slanted letters which was jot my style like that only I tried to change writing again and again but when I came in 5th grade I realized that I am the only one who can write with my style so if my frnds wanted to change writing they won't be able to do it like my like I can't do like them so conclusion is : never try to change ur style cuz you are unique with it u are the only one who can do that u are special so don't try to ruin that speciality u are born with | if just one student changes thier mind about calligraphy after reading this I will be really happy 😊

Hey I tried using the tip of a highlighter and It worked great You just need to find the pointiest part of the tip and you can get a thin line and a thick line (just with pressure)... This is a great cheap alternative for a brush pen, you don't need an expensive one just get the ones that everyone uses for school.
