I find art fixing to be pretty disrespectful when done on someone else’s work that they put actual heart, soul and effort in, even if the results aren’t necessary the best, but _this stuff_ that Nickelodeon put out?? It’s soulless, completely impersonal corporate bullcrap and clearly wasn’t made out of passion by an artist with a genuine interest for what they were doing, so I think fixing it here is a-okay. It’s not like it’s gonna hurt the company’s feelings or anything.

So it’s okay if it’s the corporation as a whole?
@PotatoPatatoVonSpudsworth Жыл бұрын
@@BlundergirlGalaxina| Not quite. It's mostly about "punching up" as John Sober said. Art-Fixing works when it's used as a tool of accountability against uncaring giants. Instead of saying "I could do better than this" the artist's work should say "YOU can do better than this." A good example of this would be when artists "fixed" Butch Hartman's 200$ commissions, all of which he traced and/or phoned in.

2:37 Ehh… I have a few criticisms for that one 1: His nose helps his design feel more iconic, and recognizable. Since the main Character Rocko has a nose, it wouldn’t be too out there for SpongeBob to have his nose too. 2: The slouched back is directly opposed to his fundamentally energetic personality. It’s supposed to be the opposite of Squidward who usually does have a slouched back. The Hey Arnold one looks better because he’s not in his natural position. In these specific circumstances it’s ok to tweak a few things because he looks like more like an Easter egg character that resembles SpongeBob, and less like if the actual SpongeBob was traveling to another world. The rest are improvements though

Great Job! You made a SO MUCH better job at recreating art styles than what Nickelodeon had done! If you have time, I suggest that you should try to make Patrick, Squidward, Mr.Crabs and even Sandy in different art styles as you did with Spongebob! I will be looking forwards for that! Good luck! :)

I will say that I'm always cautious with wanting to make someone else's work "better." Yes, it's very likely that this was a cheap "corporate says we gotta to do content for twitter, I can't be bothered, call up some underpaid idiot we can bleed dry to latch onto some modern trend" kinda decision, but the thought that a poor young intern was like "Ah, well, I got this idea and I hope people like it :))" and gets met with the unfiltered rage of "MATE THIS IS ABSOLUTE DOGSHITE" absolutely breaks my heart lol _THAT SAID_ literally each and every one of your attempts is so satisfying and so fun to look at and I really, really wish Nickelodeon would have reached out to you about this beforehand. It could have been real great. Thanks for this video!

I think it referred to the fact that SpongeBob is based more on a kitchen sponge than a bad sponge.

God what an awesome channel I just stumbled into. Amazing art and an amazing video style. You sir need way more subs than this, and I'm now contributing to reach this goal. God bless!

One of my favorite things about those drawings is how he made some of them blurry to look like actual frames from the shows themselves

The Loud House style SpongeBob is just basically SpongeBob drawn with Lincoln Loud's face and shoes.

This is the first video I saw of your channel, and dear lord, you caught all my interest! You probably have already heard this many times, but the editing, style, comedy, personality and art is SO unique and on point, and when I saw how astronomically low your views are in your other videos, with THIS quality, I was shocked. Please keep it up with the amazing content, and have a fantastic day! Your art is incredible, and I aspire to have the control and versatility that you have while drawing.
