I am a guy still my family always restrict me staying out after 10pm. So i was stopped by police after 11pm for routine checkup. We then talked,. He said 75% people roaming during the night for non official purpose perform some sort of crime... e.g. Road rage, damaging public property, fighting, sexual assault, robbery, theft etc.... I was shocked.. Bola beta ab ghar jaao and it was 12:30am

I am from Pakistan, and I still remember as a child in 2012, the Delhi gang rape case that caught international limelight. That was scary and haunting but i hope the things must be better than before now.

I have lived in Hawaii for more than half my life. I have lived alone, done everything alone, either it's shopping, traveling, busing or going any place, day or night. I take buses alone at night and I have felt the safest here than any other place in the world. This is one reason I don't feel very comfortable in India in that respect though I did live alone in my parents house for two years in the recent past in the Chandigarh area where crime has increased more than I had ever known while growing up. It could be more perceived than actual because now we have more new channels that make small news big putting more fear in the minds of people. The solution would actually have to come from women and their close relatives and friends and net working. The problem is Indian popular movies as well where heroes are excused for taking liberty and as a result women falling in love with them making men in society get the wrong idea.

8pm 9pm bje toh mujhe bhi nahi nikalne detey yaar ...mai toh ladka hu mujhe toh mordern hone do 😭 permission mangna padhta hai ..10 call ajatey hai ghar se but family ko tension nahi dena because they come first to me so I listen to them. Baki mann toh mera bhi krta hai raat ko bike chalane ka khali road me speed se ...but na toh speed pe chalane dete hai na toh raat ko nikalne dete hai 🥹

As I Indian female in my 20s I can relate to this fear, alone day or night I'm not safe in my own country and have been through several sexual assault incidents which happened during day time and night time. It's sad I have to think about moving abroad to have a night life.

My group(including girls) used to do nightout at Marine Drive,Mumbai till 3 AM...Police are always there to roam even at 2/3 AM🤞...Nothing more safe than Mumbai😎

I was staying in Gurgaon living in boys hostel ... Having moved there from pune ., iwas not concerned going late night but my hostel mates always told me your taking too much risk .... After few days i understood when i had bad encountwrs with auto drivers of gurhaon
