0:11 -- Cobra chickens be like "Show-off!", all jealy. I've seen that Pilatypus here in Boise before...along with a few others. Nice bird, nice sound.
@TheHDAviation Жыл бұрын
This one was always a fun visitor to see at CZNL, haven’t spotted it for a few years now. Bet you must get some nice traffic at Boise! The geese are definitely jealous of the PC-12.

@@TheHDAviation -- Oh, we get PC-12s, Malibus, Meridians, KingAirs, Warthogs, Eagles, Falcons, Hornets, Talons, an errant AC-130...plus airliners and, during the midsummer, arriving & departing firebombers, like DC-10s, RJ85s, BAe-146s, even an MD-80. I sure miss the Q400s...sad to see 'em go.

Well It is indeed Nelson, BC, Canada as stated below by *Maynerd* *Parroteye.* The mountainous terrain is hauntingly reminiscent of Engadin Airport in Switzerland, but stop at 0:00 and one clearly sees a signboard with *Norman* *Stibbs* *Airfield* - some armchair research confirms that this is in Nelson BC...

Ya, CZNL always has quite a few geese hanging around. Love the PC-12 as well, one of my favourites.

I like animals, but I don't think taking out a few dozen geese that are a potential risk is going to endanger the population of this species. They're out of control, and they're everywhere!
@RobbieKiama4 жыл бұрын
@@SkippyRo an airport dog chasing them off would solve the issue nicely
@SkippyRo4 жыл бұрын
@Roberto V, yes and no. They would chase them off, but perhaps drive them to occupy another airport. I'm in favor of thinning out the population. Responsibly.

The airport could specialize in goose pate. Every time a goose strike over the intercom now serving tarmac fresh goose 👌 pate

Watch out for those Canadian geese, some big birds. Actually not sure what those were just a guess. Awesome takeoff tho. My #2 dream plane behind the TBM940

Oh man those geese in the way make it kind of scary 😳
@TheHDAviation5 жыл бұрын

@genie039012 жыл бұрын
man this is crazy. the pilot must have seen the geese at the end of the runway but still TO right into them?
@zigarten6 жыл бұрын
They got spooked, and at that point in the take off, there's no stopping. Prop would have chewed the crap outta them anyway, not like a jet intake issue. ala Sully on the Hudson
@jelt1102 жыл бұрын
Years ago, I had to wait 20 minutes for a migration of starlings or something that were flying over the runway at Westosh/Wilmot WI. long stream of birds as far as the eye could follow. ended up doing a short field takeoff to go under and avoid them.
