I know from personal experience that, despite its basic chords, "This Boy" isn't that easy to sing while playing, and even harder to harmonize while strumming. As someone who has seen the Beatles in concert, I'd like to say your version is a really polished performance and a more than worthy tribute.

Best cover I've heard of this, and I've seen a lot of good ones on KZbin. The middle 8 "Lennon" lead (is that "Billy"?) makes it shine. Plenty of groups have a singer who can hit the high notes, but it's the grit, power and emotion that have to be in there to make that section shine. Also, in this mix, you can really hear the middle harmony (the George Harrison part), which is nice. It often doesn't stand out enough.

Good job AND the song was done in the ORIGINAL key. The guy who sang John's tenor part on the bridge (which is in the middle of the song) did very well. The background vocals & the guitar playing was also very nice.

A great performance. If ever your'e in Hamburg make sure you take one of Steffi's St Pauli Beatles tours, taking in the sites and stories of those early 1960s Hamburg periods so vitally important in the Beatles' development. My group of Liverpool tour guides who took the tour seven years ago are still talking about it. Great fun and very informative.
