This is the story of my dad and the family in which I grew up. My dad was an alcoholic who only changed after a DUI car accident that landed him in jail. I was 7 or 8. It was God. Dad changed too, and it made a difference in our lives. I don’t and won’t drink because of him. Now I know why you love the Lord, and He gave you this ministry to help others and lift Him up. From a young age, I watched all the elders in the family drink heavy. As I got older, family members were placed on dialysis from kidney failure. I came from the era of, " Say No to Drugs". God had to sit him down as well. We split up. We got back together. December will be 2 years we've been together as well as him being sober. Appreciate the testimony...profound. Especially knowing we ALL have SINNED and fallen! Every one of us has a testimony. It's important for ALL of to claim your reality. It's so important to confess our sins. Let's not forget..n however...his family members had influences in their lives as well. Also some individuals are biologically unable drink alcohol. God uses every detail of our troubles, trials, and tribulations for the glorification of his kingdom and purpose for our life. That’s why we should never be ashamed of what we’ve gone through or overcome because he is always in the details. Sharing our testimony even the most raw, uncut, and parts we deem ugly or make us feel unworthy, God is glorified because it reminds people that you can be in DEEP waters and God find you and help use it to strengthen you. God knew what he called you to and he allowed you to go through so get your breakthrough. Glory be to God.
