Your husband is right. I have been a nanny for 20 years now and everything that was required to do that I said I could do I did it (cooking, cleaning, bathing the kids, helping with homework and even taking care of the fur-babies)I understand why you want to still help because this is new to you and you don’t want her to feel overwhelmed however just let her know that your there and if she needs help just let you know. If she doesn’t say anything than she’s ok. I have been a live in nanny where I was on call all day long and I’ve been a live out nanny. If you keep assisting her you also will never find out if she can do and handle everything she has said she could but definitely at the end of the day see how everything went like you are already doing. ​@@thehenryfamily_I definitely agree with this person that has a great deal of experience as a nanny. I have a had a nanny during periods of medical crisis. Therefore, I did not have a choice but to pull back and release with clear instructions. I made sure she could accomplish our household goals while teaching, cleaning, nurturing, bathing, feeding and supervising our son. Dad was away for assignments and I was at one point bedridden for 6 mos!! We discussed menus and she cooked. It was my responsibility to make sure she had everything she needed to accomplish family goals/tasks. I was available when I was not sleeping/recovering..lol. My job was to layout goals, express our value system and stay out their way ( meaning the schedule we worked on). Lots of feedback ( both directions) without ever giving up our power or position as the parents in the household. Son is 25 yrs old and she is still a dear family member now. Thanks for sharing. Continue to protect your privacy/boundaries. Much respect for what you do chose to share. You got this and God has you all!!

Being a nanny of so many children especially with the 4 later children sounds overwhelming and the cooking and or cleaning is a lot,I use to be a nanny for like a year and it wasnt easy at all,its important to not be overwhelmed or burned out either,so samvia is considerate for stepping in at appropriate times even if it is to prep the meals for her to give to the children and if samvia can't do it all the time,its ok for to do it at times too,when you place too much pressure on your nanny too,she can also pull away too.

Wow! In my country no one is allowed to have more than three children in the house caring for them, witout assistance, and when I was a lil girl, I took care of my younger siblings during moms home birth and after baby number 5 I declared to my mom that I didn’t want anymore children in the house! I agree with hubby stay in bed and let the nanny handle it. Between whatever time you hired her for she is basically you so she can do baths get the kids dressed make breakfast lunch and even dinner on date nights. Her main job is to make your life easier. She can do it all. When I was a nanny I did different things depending on what each family wanted. Like I said I was a full time live in nanny before and a full time live out nanny. The only thing that she basically would need to trouble you for may be if one of the kids was acting up and they needed to be disciplined you can tell her in advance how you want her to handle it or if you want her to call you on a case by case basis. I have been inspired by your family and you two. All I can say is I can only imagine the load you all have had on you, I’m grateful the Lord has provided a way for you to get some relief. I say this with love, you both have been in serving mode, especially you Samvia, as a Virgo. As a fellow Virgo I know and understand. I encourage you both to work on your posture, you both appear to be in a hunched/avoidance mode where you look like you’re leaning forward. It is understandable considering, but I would encourage you both to attempt to align your spines/shoulders and work on straightening your posture for comfort and more mental and emotional wellness. Hi I have been a nanny for 17+ years . 7 years in Jacksonville and there is a tons of activities that you can enroll the kids to like music class , my gym art class they can go to libraries parks , get with others Nannies and their kids. Story times at the library. There is a tons of activities out there !

in our country the nannies look after the baby only helpers wash clean iron sometimes cook to for the parents snd children in some cases in the richer area they had even two to three helpers but it make it knows bigger children still have to fo there work in the house viewing from Jamaica 👍👍🇯🇲

I agree with Samvia. Some days if you are busier she shold be able to manage the chikdren. However if youre home Inwouldnt leave every single task to her. I would do things like make lunch and even give her an hr break or an hr and half to refresh, and handle any appts or errands she has. Im a mom of 5 biological and 2 bonus children. It can def be overwhelming. I think creating a curriculum or purchasing one even for the babies we be great. Tv...i would let her add but specific shows like Sesame Street, Gracie's Corner or Ms Rachel bc this will settle rhe kids if she is prepping soemthing else or just neds a breather. Only for 30 mins. This will engage them in kesrning, singing and learning rythms. I think you all age doing great! Im so for a nanny. I wish my husband would het on board lol❤

Consider getting a prepaid gift card / credit card and putting a set amount to it like $100 or whatever your budget is that way it should take the kids out she would be able to use it for snacks or whatever or you wouldn't have to set up the activities she could go to Michaels and get what she wanted but you could still see and monitor it's use

I was a therapist in a house with a full time nanny. I was surprised she was a nanny because she did A LOT. I literally thought she was a family member. She worked from 6 am to 6pm. The parents were doctors. In this case I didn’t feel comfortable there for therapy because the parents had serious issues. The nanny I think took on full responsibility while the parents stayed away. Now that I think of it. She was referred to as a nanny but performed as a housekeeper and caregiver to the children. When I came as a therapist she had a break from the child I was working with but still provided oversight. The parents were awful.

Mr. Henry is one of the best husbands and fathers that Ihave seen and he does everything to take care of his children and his wife, when many young husbands his age, have abandoned and left their wife snd children. This man, husband is with his wife and their 8 children and he does everything with his wife and children. Mrs. Henry supports her husband, she pours into her husband and she takes excellent! Care of their 8 children. If you have ever followed this families videos, you would see, how well put together this family is. They travel on vacations together with all their children, they cook together, they go shopping together as a family and both parents talk about important issues together and share their good and bad times as a family with us who follow them, as I do. The respect that both parents have for each other is refreshing to see. The children are so well mannered, both parents talk with their children and invest in their children together. We need to see more Black husband and wives with children together like this and celebrated as well. We are so quick! To tare a great family working together like this down! And, none of you have to take care of their children or bills. In the South, them mothers in the 50tys and 60tys had 10 to 15 children and it was a norm in that era to have a lot of children and the children worked with the parents and other siblings. My father has 10 brothers and sisters and his oldest sister had 15 children and guess what, they were single mothers my grandmother and aunt and none of the kids went to jail or turned out bad adults at all. People still have 5 to 8 to 9 children even in the millinium today and they are doing what they can, to take care of their children. Its a blessing! That this family can hire a nanny, to help them, and its nothing wrong with them doing so. Many rich white people have nannys and they only have 1, 2 or 3 children and these rich! People have nanny's to raise only 1 or 3 children for them. These rich celebrities have nanny's with 2 children. I mean you guys need to stop! You nasty comments about what this family does, to care for their family and mind your own! Business!. I applaud this family working together and taking care of the needs of their family how they want to, because they can!. They can! It's their family and not you all, with the negative comments. It just amaze me how some of yall get so defensive when it comes to ppl having an opinion about this family that don’t match ur opinion. EVERYBODY has an opinion and is entitled to give it. I feel Yall glorify this family too much. They are a regular family like anybody else, and I’m sure there are MANY things we don’t see that go on behind the scenes. They show us only what they want us to see. We should all be able to say something about what we see without it being a problem. I personally have seen changes in this family since the beginning of their channel (both good & bad). I also noticed that they only respond back to the comments that seem to put them up on a pedestal. When ppl comment something they don’t like, they won’t respond back. Sometimes it’s just constructive criticism being given but yall think it’s attacking them when it’s not. Just bcuz my opinion doesn’t align with urs , doesn’t mean I’m wrong or evil or judging. Everybody knows that sometimes the truth hurt. I’ve always said if u want to be a content creator u have to be able to take the good and bad comments. She wrote a whole book on here, and another people need to hear the truth and not just jump on the ban wagon every time they do or say something. If you see something, say something whether it's good or bad. I would want someone to tell me the truth. And I agree everyone ain't jealous or hate on them. Some of yall keep talking about Lisa and her responsibilities in this but know this: her responsibilities are good birth control! It shows her in advance what caring for children is REALLY like. There s re lots of girls her age that actually TRY to get pregnant. Some think that babies are EASY! Plus Lisa has a stronger bond with her siblings than many teenagers have. I hope y'all don't be micromanaging the nanny. If you stop having children you really don't have time to RAISE... you wouldn't need a nanny. Me honestly, I don't think they have a nanny. It seems to me, that they are making things up just to have something to say. Now they are saying that they are not showing the nanny, I don't think they have one. It is nothing to introduce your nanny. You don't have to film her doing her job, but just to say hello to her subscribers. Lets not forget people, they are the ones that told people about the nanny.
